Florida-based remote staffing agency connects US companies with vetted remote professionals from Latin America and worldwide at rates starting from $7 per hour all-in
United States, October 10, 2026 -- Virtustant has completed more than 2,000 placements with over 1,000 US companies since launching in 2021, building a remote staffing agency around a model that charges clients zero placement fees. The agency connects US companies with bilingual virtual assistants, bookkeepers, marketing specialists, software developers, and other remote professionals across 18 Latin American countries plus South Africa and the Philippines.

The company was founded by Erik Reid and Kevin Wright, brothers-in-law based in St. Petersburg, Florida. Reid, a financial analyst who also ran his own eCommerce business, and Wright, who had built an international education business, set out to build the remote staffing agency they would want to hire from.
"Virtustant was founded on a simple belief: great talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not," said Kevin Wright, Co-Founder of Virtustant. "Our professionals work remotely from wherever they are based, and there are no fees for candidates to apply or join our talent pool."
The Virtustant zero placement fee model works differently from traditional staffing. Clients pay a single all-in hourly rate starting at $7 per hour, with payroll and compliance included and zero placement or setup fees. Billing is one weekly invoice per placement, month-to-month. Companies save up to 70% compared with a comparable US hire.
In Virtustant's H1 2026 placement data (441 placement starts, January to June 2026), median client-side rates by role ranged from $9.00 per hour for dispatchers to $12.41 per hour for SDR/BDR roles, as published in the H1 2026 rate report.

Only the top 1% of applicants make it through Virtustant's vetting funnel: of every 100 applicants, 22 pass the recruiter screen, 9 pass skills and English testing, 3 reach a live interview, and 1 is hired. Clients receive a shortlist of 3 to 5 vetted candidates within 48 hours of their first call, and a hire can start in 72 hours.
Every placement carries a lifetime replacement guarantee with no time cap. The guarantee has no 90-day limit or expiration window.
Virtustant staffs virtual assistants, executive assistants, customer service representatives, sales development reps, bookkeepers, marketers, designers, and developers. Bilingual virtual assistants who can handle client-facing calls and emails are a common request, given the English proficiency required for client-facing roles.
Virtustant handles contracts, payroll, onboarding, and compliance for the professionals it places, so US companies do not have to manage the paperwork themselves. Professionals work remotely for clients as integrated team members.
Virtustant maintains a 4.9-star rating on G2 based on 70 reviews and a 4.5-star rating on Trustpilot based on 163 reviews. The company operates from its headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida, with recruiting operations based in Argentina.
Virtustant ranked No. 661 on the 2026 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America, with 517% three-year growth.

The artificial intelligence boom is no longer just a story about software models, cloud platforms, or the companies racing to build the next large language model. It is increasingly a story about where chips are made, how far they travel, and whether the supply chains behind them can withstand the next geopolitical shock. SAN FRANCISCO — Three former OpenAI security researchers on Thursday accused the ChatGPT maker of firing them for warning about the dangers of artificial intelligence, reigniting the debate over safety at a company whose software has been involved in security breaches. “I believe we were fired for prioritizing safety over the near-term interests of OpenAI

Chinese state funds are ramping up support for the country’s second-largest contract chipmaker, pouring billions of yuan into the parent of Hua Hong Grace Semiconductor and a new manufacturing facility to fuel Beijing’s drive for self-reliance in mature-node chips. The capital blitz, spanning Hua Hong’s Shanghai-based parent company and a fabrication plant in Wuxi, highlights how government-coordinated financing is doubling down on domestic foundries, as Washington tightens technology...
Sales of winter products surged at South Korean convenience stores as temperatures fell sharply this month, industry sources said Friday. According to retailers, sales of disposable hand warmers at GS25 convenience stores, operated by GS Retail Co., rose more than elevenfold in the first seven days of this month compared with the previous week. Sales of tights, worn to keep warm, increased by a similar margin. Demand for popular winter snacks and beverages, such as instant fish cakes, baked sweet potatoes and traditional tea, climbed 653 percent, 132 percent and 50.2 percent, respectively, over the period. CU convenience stores, operated by BGF Retail Co., reported a 400 percent increase in sales of disposable hand warmers over the same period. "As cold weather sets in, sales of winter snacks and cold-weather gear are rising sharply," an industry official said.
SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won said Friday his business group will make efforts to build a new semiconductor cluster in the southwestern part of the country as quickly as possible to meet growing global demand. Chey made the remarks during a visit to Gwangju Air Base in the southwestern Jeonnam-Gwangju region, where SK hynix Inc. has proposed building a new chip cluster. "Once the conditions are met, we plan to build (the new cluster) as quickly as possible," Chey said. "Demand for chips is growing rapidly, and the current situation requires us to accelerate the pace of supply to keep up with demand," he added. The chairman said the group still needs to determine when construction will begin but stressed that it intends to break ground as soon as possible. Chey noted that demand for chips is expected to grow significantly, adding that the proposed cluster will be around two-thirds the size of the one currently under construction in Yongin, just south of Seoul. It marked Chey's first visit to the region since the conglomerate unveiled its building plan in June. Earlier in the year, SK hynix
Asia’s AI founders do not lack investor attention. What they lack is the expensive plumbing frontier AI demands: models, compute, technical help and patient capital. Granite Asia and Google AI Futures Fund want to bundle all of it into one programme. The crypto market is reeling. Bitcoin trades around US$80,550 to US$81,000. Ethereum trades near US$2,410 to US$2,470. Both assets dropped sharply on October 9, 2026. An aggressive deleveraging wave and broader macro risk-off sentiment drove the decline. Bitcoin fell about 3.3 per cent to 4 per cent over the last 24 hours. It dropped from […] The post From US$86,500 to US$81,000: The anatomy of a crypto deleveraging wave appeared first on e27.
For years, online retail has been organised around a simple assumption: the customer journey begins on a search engine, marketplace, brand website, or app. That assumption is starting to look dated.
