Vega, the pioneer of Agentic Cyber Defense, today introduced Vega II, the next generation of its platform and its most important release since emerging from stealth.
New York, United States, October 1, 2026 -- The next generation of the Vega platform unites a fast, specialized AI model, agentic memory, and seamless access to all data in one undeniable harness for cyber defense.

Vega, the pioneer of Agentic Cyber Defense, today introduced Vega II, the next generation of its platform and its most important release since emerging from stealth. Vega II brings the industry’s first model trained for Cyber Defense to the fight, gives the Agentic SOC a memory that outlasts every ticket, and tears down the legacy SIEM and pipeline barriers that kept data out of reach.
With Vega II, every security team has the harness for cyber defense: the system where AI runs detection, triage, and investigation as an autonomous loop, directed by the judgment of their best defenders, and spanning every source they were forced to keep out of the SIEM.
“AI gave attackers a head start. It doesn’t have to give them the future,” said Shay Sandler, co-founder and CEO of Vega. “Two years ago, we founded Vega on one conviction: the SOC has a new operator, AI agents, and they need all your data, the knowledge and judgment of your best defenders, and a proprietary, open-weight model built for agentic cyber defense. With Vega II, every team finally has the harness, the model, and the speed required to win the fight.”
Why Now
Adversaries adopt frontier models the week they ship. Defenders answer with reasoning never tuned for cyber defense, facts lost when the case closes, and data held behind connectors and pipeline projects. And generic AI is slow: it reasons from scratch on every alert while attackers keep moving. Break the barriers keeping frontier AI from becoming extraordinary cyber defense, and the next era belongs to the defenders.
The Harness and the Model, Built for the Fight
Agentic Cyber Defense demands a purpose-built model, lasting memory of the environment, and access to all data wherever it is stored. With Vega II, teams can:

“The Post-SIEM Era is here, and you can’t wait until something happens to make the switch. It has to happen now,” said Conor Quinlan, member of technical staff, security, at Profound. “Profound is growing about as fast as a company can, and our security program has to keep up. Alerts can no longer be siloed. All of detection and response must live in one platform for the agentic SOC to work. I’ve built world-class Cyber Defense operations twice with Vega at the center, and Vega II is exactly where security operations needs to go.”
"Every AI SOC vendor can triage an alert in a demo. The constraint CISOs keep describing to us sits underneath: whether the agent can reach the evidence where it already lives, whether it carries context from one case to the next, and what continuous inference costs at scale," said Francis Odum, founder and CEO of Software Analyst Cyber Research. "Vega built its architecture around those questions rather than around ingestion-based pricing, and Vega II is the clearest statement yet of the power this approach holds."

South Korea launched its homegrown Nuri rocket Wednesday on its fifth flight to place 15 satellites into orbit, including five that will form part of the country's first domestically launched microsatellite constellation. The 200-ton Nuri blasted off from the Naro Space Center in Goheung, about 400 kilometers southwest of Seoul, at 12:25 p.m. The payload consists of five New-space Earth Observation Satellite Constellation for National Safety (NEONSAT) microsatellites and 10 CubeSats. Nuri's first and second stages will separate about 123 and 268 seconds after liftoff, respectively, with satellite deployment beginning between 810 and 960 seconds at an altitude of around 575 kilometers. The five NEONSATs, Nos. 2 through 6, will be deployed at intervals of 35 to 40 seconds, with Nuri's upper stage rotating by about 45 degrees between each separation to prevent collisions. The 10 CubeSats will then be deployed two at a time at 10-second intervals. After releasing all 15 satellites, Nuri will perform a collision-avoidance maneuver and vent its remaining fuel, completing its flight about 20 min
For the past two years, the story engineering teams told about AI was simple: it writes code faster, so teams ship faster. That story is only half true. Code does get written faster. But Google’s 2025 DORA report, based on analysis of over 1,100 open-ended responses from Google software engineers, found that higher AI adoption […] The post The new engineering bottleneck isn’t writing code, it’s trusting it appeared first on e27.
Bitcoin traded in a narrow band near US$85,400 to US$85,550 during early October 7, 2026. Live aggregator readings clustered around US$85,435 to US$85,542. The 24-hour change settled at roughly -0.3 per cent to -0.5 per cent on most feeds, though one snapshot briefly showed a small positive. There were no sustained breakouts in either direction. Asia’s AI founders are increasingly facing a split-screen reality. Investor interest is high, but building at the frontier of artificial intelligence still requires more than a seed cheque. Startups need access to large models, cloud infrastructure, technical feedback, distribution channels and patient capital, all while competing with better-funded peers in the US and China. For much of the past three decades, American companies operating overseas benefited from a powerful assumption: that despite periodic political turbulence at home, the United States (US) remained a predictable and broadly reliable commercial partner. That assumption has been badly tested. Yet the latest phase of the US-European relationship is more complicated than a simple […] The post Europe’s trade truce with America has not restored trust in American business appeared first on e27.
Korea's homegrown Nuri rocket is set for its fifth launch Wednesday, carrying 15 satellites, including five that will form part of the country's first domestically launched microsatellite constellation. The three-stage rocket is scheduled to lift off from the Naro Space Center in Goheung, about 400 kilometers south of Seoul, at 12:25 p.m., Oh Tae-seok, administrator of the Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA), said. Oh said the rocket is technically ready for launch, with weather and space conditions also favorable and no concerns over potential collisions with space objects, allowing the launch to proceed as scheduled. The payload consists of five New-space Earth Observation Satellite Constellation for National Safety (NEONSAT) microsatellites and 10 CubeSats. About four hours before liftoff, the launch team will begin filling the three-stage rocket with kerosene fuel and liquid oxygen oxidizer after completing system checks. Nuri's first and second stages will separate about 123 and 268 seconds after liftoff, respectively, with satellite deployment beginning between 810 and 960 seconds
Concierge medicine is expensive for a simple reason: physician attention is scarce. A typical primary-care doctor may be responsible for 2,000 or more patients, while concierge practices generally restrict panels to 400 or fewer to 600. Patients pay annual retainers ranging from a few thousand dollars to tens of thousands for longer appointments and faster […] The post AI could turn concierge medicine into the future interface to healthcare appeared first on e27.
