Top-Notch Plumbing, Heating - Air Marks 10 Years of Service in Greeley, Colorado
Sep 9, 2026
What started in October 2016 with a set of hand tools and an old Toyota T100 is now a two-division plumbing and HVAC company serving homeowners, businesses, and contractors across Northern Colorado.
Greeley, Colorado Sep 8, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - Top-Notch Plumbing, Heating & Air is celebrating ten years in business this month, a decade after founder Adrian Vigil took his first service call in Greeley with a set of hand tools and an old Toyota T100. That first job was a water heater repair for a single mother, and it set the standard the company has worked from ever since: plumbing is not really about pipes and parts; it is about helping people who need someone they can trust inside their home. Ten years on, Top-Notch operates two divisions out of its Greeley shop and serves homeowners, business owners, property managers, and general contractors across Greeley, Evans, Loveland, Windsor, Fort Collins, Eaton, and the surrounding Northern Colorado communities.
Built One Service Call at a Time
The ten-year mark reflects a decade of steady, deliberate growth rather than rapid expansion. Top-Notch now employs three Colorado-licensed master plumbers, more than any other shop in Greeley, and has built a leadership team that includes a general manager with a business and accounting background from the University of Northern Colorado, a commercial division manager with 18 years in the trade and a decade as a foreman, and a dedicated plumbing estimator with a wholesale-supply background.
Just as important to Vigil is what happens below that leadership tier. The company has made a practice of hiring apprentices and putting them through continuing education until they earn their own licenses, several of them Greeley natives who grew up in the neighborhoods they now service.
"I started with a toolbox and no guarantee that anyone would call," said Adrian Vigil, founder and master plumber at Top-Notch Plumbing, Heating & Air. "Ten years later, the number I am proudest of is not revenue or truck count. It is the number of people who came in as apprentices and are now licensed professionals raising families in this town. We are not trying to be the biggest company in Colorado. We are trying to be the one Northern Colorado keeps calling back."
A Full Range of Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling Services
Plumbing repair and service. Leak detection, burst pipe repair, fixture repair and replacement, hose bib replacement, and general plumbing repair for residential and light commercial properties. Every job is quoted at a flat rate before work begins, and all labor is backed by a one-year warranty.
Drain cleaning and sewer line repair. Top-Notch runs a dedicated drain department led by a certified operator, and a jetter credentialed through the International Institute of Sewer & Pipe Cleaning. The team handles routine clogs, recurring backups, camera inspection, and sewer line repair, including the tree-root intrusion that is common in Greeley's older neighborhoods.
Water heaters and water quality. Repair, maintenance, and replacement of traditional and tankless water heaters, plus whole-house water filtration and water softener installation for households dealing with Northern Colorado's hard water.
Heating, cooling, and indoor comfort. The HVAC division covers furnace repair and replacement, heating service, air conditioning repair, and ductless mini-split systems, along with seasonal maintenance for homeowners who would rather not discover a problem in January.
Commercial plumbing and new construction. The commercial division delivers plumbing for multifamily developments, medical facilities, schools, industrial sites, and ground-up new construction, with in-house estimating and bid support. Specialty services include backflow testing and medical gas. Top-Notch also serves as a plumbing service provider for the City of Greeley and a vendor for Greeley's ATMOS.
Same-day service is often available across the service area, with technicians typically on site within 60 to 90 minutes during business hours. Financing is available for larger projects, and the company offers a 10% discount to firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and Flight for Life personnel.
Six Straight Years of Local Recognition
Greeley Tribune readers have voted Top-Notch the Best of Greeley plumber every year from 2020 through 2025, six consecutive years. The company holds a five-star rating across more than 400 Google reviews, with customers repeatedly citing clear explanations, fair pricing, and technicians who clean up after themselves.
Beyond the trade, Vigil serves on the board of Partners Northern Colorado, an organization supporting youth mentorship in the same community the company works in every day. It is a program he benefited from personally. Top-Notch also provides service in Spanish, so that Greeley's Spanish-speaking households get the same explanations and the same pricing without anything lost in translation.
Looking Toward the Next Decade
Entering its second decade, Top-Notch is continuing to invest in its commercial division and in the technology behind its scheduling, dispatch, and customer communication, an effort aimed at shortening response times and keeping customers informed from booking through completion. The company is also actively hiring and training apprentices in Greeley.

Samsung, SK hynix shareholder return policies in focus ahead of Q3 earnings
Shareholder return policies of Samsung Electronics and SK hynix are gaining market attention ahead of their announcements for third-quarter earnings, as investors see them as a key way to address the mismatch between the chipmakers' record-breaking profits and their sluggish share prices. Samsung Electronics is set to announce its three-month financial results during its earnings call on Thursday, while SK hynix said it will announce its results on its earnings call on Wednesday. Earnings are expected to be exceptionally strong, as surging demand for memory chips and continued supply bottlenecks have driven up average selling prices across the memory chip market. In its earnings guidance released Oct. 8, Samsung Electronics estimated third-quarter revenue of 195 trillion won ($146.96 billion) and operating profit of 107.4 trillion won. If realized, the company will become the first Korean company to surpass 100 trillion won in quarterly operating profit. SK hynix is expected to post 98.23 trillion won in revenue and 76.96 trillion won in operating profit during the same period, according

Two part-timers and one AI orchestrator: Inside a Dubai conference on “The Breaking Point” — Part 1
Most conferences are built the same way. A committee brainstorms a theme, a team chases speakers, a designer lays out a program, and everyone hopes the real value happens in the corridors. Three days in Dubai this October worked differently. The operating model was deliberately lean: two people shaping the ideas and running the room, […] The post Two part-timers and one AI orchestrator: Inside a Dubai conference on “The Breaking Point” — Part 1 appeared first on e27.
Ailytics bags US$7.4M Series A to make old CCTV cameras earn their keep
Most industrial CCTV cameras lead a thankless life. They record everything, are watched by almost no one, and only become important after something has gone wrong, when their footage turns into evidence rather than prevention. Singapore-based Ailytics has built a business on reversing that order. The vision AI startup has raised US$7.4 million in an […] The post Ailytics bags US$7.4M Series A to make old CCTV cameras earn their keep appeared first on e27.

Alibaba Cloud founder on how AI can unlock human potential
Long before artificial intelligence became the next big thing in the tech industry, Wang Jian was crafting the foundational infrastructure that would eventually power it. Founders are buying gold, not Lamborghinis, after the exit
A running joke in Singapore’s startup circles holds that a founder’s net worth exists only in two places: the cap table and the LinkedIn bio. For most of Southeast Asia’s entrepreneurs, the joke still lands. IPO windows open and slam shut, trade sales are thin on the ground, and secondary sales have become the region’s […] The post Founders are buying gold, not Lamborghinis, after the exit appeared first on e27.
China shoots ahead on AI video models
While few dispute that China is narrowing the gap with the United States in developing artificial intelligence (AI) models, there is one area where Chinese firms are already the undisputed leaders: video. China has seen a proliferation of advanced generative AI video models – systems trained on visual data to generate or edit video content based on user inputs such as text prompts, images and audio. The country’s vast short-video ecosystems and looser copyright rules have helped give Chinese...
Thirty climate tech startups in Southeast Asia that would rather build than pledge
Southeast Asia has a talent for making climate pledges sound like wedding vows: grand, emotional and frequently broken. Net-zero deadlines stretch to 2050 and beyond, yet coal still dominates several national grids, petrol motorbikes still choke the cities and mangroves still vanish faster than ministers can name them. Into that gap has stepped a scrappy […] The post Thirty climate tech startups in Southeast Asia that would rather build than pledge appeared first on e27.
