The rising concern of customer for vehicles safety, green environment and more connected has given rise to the widespread adoption of ADAS technology. The ADAS technology provide features such as blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning systems and parking assistance features. Additionally, advancements in the automotive LiDAR technology is driving the market.

However, the high cost of autonomous vehicles is holding back the growth of autonomous cars market. The autonomous vehicles deploy large number of sensors and electronic system (LiDAR and cyber security software) to enable the V2V and V2X communication. These sensors and electronic system used for the communication of the vehicles are costly and hence it increases the overall cost of production.

The level 1 autonomous cars market is forecasted to grow due to the integration of the advanced driving assistance and safety systems into passenger cars. Also, the increasing vehicle safety concerns and governmental regulations for vehicle safety across the globe supports the market growth. On the other hand, advancement in autonomous technology is expected to grow the level 2 autonomous cars market. The advancement includes integration of artificial intelligence, GPS, and advanced electronic sensors such as radar, LiDAR, and ultrasonic sensors. These advancements in autonomous technology promote the market growth.

Some of the vendors operating in North America autonomous cars market are Toyota Motor Corporation, Volvo Car Corporation, General Motors Company, Uber Technologies Inc., Tesla Inc., Volkswagen Group, Subaru of America, Inc, Ford Motor Company, Waymo, Aptiv PLC, Nvidia Corporation, Autoliv Inc and others. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries wins contract for 500-MW offshore substation in Taean

HD Hyundai Heavy Industries has signed a contract to build an offshore substation for a wind farm in waters off Taean, South Chungcheong Province, as it expands its presence in the offshore wind market. The company announced on Friday that it recently signed a contract with Taean Wind Power to carry out the engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning of an offshore substation for the wind farm. Taean Wind Power is a joint venture between Singapore-based renewable energy company Vena Energy, Danish investment and development firm Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and state-run Korea Western Power. An offshore substation is a key facility that transmits electricity generated by turbines at an offshore wind farm to shore. The offshore substation to be built in Taean will step up the voltage of electricity generated by a 500-megawatt wind farm before transmitting the power to shore. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries secured the project through a series of agreements, signing a front-end engineering design contract in March, followed by a preferred supplier agreement

Canadian soybeans were imported in 45 shipments totaling 29,469 tons, with GMO components detected in 57.8 percent of the cases. In contrast, no GMO components were detected in soybeans imported from China or Russia. Chinese soybeans totaled 112,124 tons in 18 shipments, accounting for 6.4 percent of total imports, while Russian soybeans totaled 7,870 tons across five shipments.
