Melia Advisory Group, a Tulsa retirement planning firm, announces updates to its fee-based wealth management, Social Security, IRA rollover, and estate planning services ahead of anticipated financial regulatory changes affecting retirees and pre-retirees.

Tulsa, United States, October 1, 2026 /PressCable/ -- Melia Advisory Group, a Tulsa retirement planning firm, has updated its Social Security analysis, IRA management and estate planning services, effective Sept. 30, 2026, as lawmakers consider proposed changes affecting retirees and pre-retirees.
Details on the updated services can be found at https://www.meliagroup.com/
The updates coordinate the firm's Social Security analysis, IRA management, estate planning and Medicare planning services into a single retirement income review, and come as federal lawmakers consider legislation that could affect retirement timelines and benefit claiming decisions.
The updates follow the Sept. 24, 2026, introduction of the Blue Collar Social Security Fairness Act by Rep. Haley Stevens, D-Mich. The bill would allow workers in physically demanding jobs, such as construction, nursing, roofing and manufacturing, to claim full Social Security retirement benefits at age 60. The current full retirement age is 67 for those born in 1960 or later and to qualify, workers would need 20 years of physically demanding work or 15 points under an age-weighted system. The bill has been introduced but not enacted, and its prospects remain uncertain.
In addition, the proposal arrives as concerns about retirement income are rising. In the Allianz Life 2026 Annual Retirement Study, 67% of respondents said they worry more about running out of money than about death, up from 57% in 2022. Separately, a LiveCareer survey of 878 U.S. workers age 50 and older, reported by InvestmentNews, found that 91% said inflation or tariffs had affected their retirement plans.
"Retirees and pre-retirees are hearing a lot about proposed changes to Social Security, and many are unsure what those changes could mean for their own plans," said Greg Melia, CEO of Melia Advisory Group. "These updates are designed to help clients understand how market volatility, rising costs and potential policy changes may affect their retirement income, so they can make informed decisions. Our goal is to provide personalized guidance built on trust, transparency and a clear understanding of each client's objectives."
Melia Advisory Group charges advisory fees based on the assets it manages on a client's behalf. The firm reports that it typically works with clients who have portfolios of at least $250,000. Details on fees and compensation are available in the firm's Form ADV and Form CRS, filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The updated services also include 401(k) rollover and IRA consolidation reviews. These give clients a structured way to evaluate bringing multiple former employer accounts under a single managed IRA. The firm also offers guidance on revocable and irrevocable living trusts, coordinating these estate planning tools with an income-focused investment strategy.

South Korea launched its homegrown Nuri rocket Wednesday on its fifth flight to place 15 satellites into orbit, including five that will form part of the country's first domestically launched microsatellite constellation. The 200-ton Nuri blasted off from the Naro Space Center in Goheung, about 400 kilometers southwest of Seoul, at 12:25 p.m. The payload consists of five New-space Earth Observation Satellite Constellation for National Safety (NEONSAT) microsatellites and 10 CubeSats. Nuri's first and second stages will separate about 123 and 268 seconds after liftoff, respectively, with satellite deployment beginning between 810 and 960 seconds at an altitude of around 575 kilometers. The five NEONSATs, Nos. 2 through 6, will be deployed at intervals of 35 to 40 seconds, with Nuri's upper stage rotating by about 45 degrees between each separation to prevent collisions. The 10 CubeSats will then be deployed two at a time at 10-second intervals. After releasing all 15 satellites, Nuri will perform a collision-avoidance maneuver and vent its remaining fuel, completing its flight about 20 min
For the past two years, the story engineering teams told about AI was simple: it writes code faster, so teams ship faster. That story is only half true. Code does get written faster. But Google’s 2025 DORA report, based on analysis of over 1,100 open-ended responses from Google software engineers, found that higher AI adoption […] The post The new engineering bottleneck isn’t writing code, it’s trusting it appeared first on e27.
Bitcoin traded in a narrow band near US$85,400 to US$85,550 during early October 7, 2026. Live aggregator readings clustered around US$85,435 to US$85,542. The 24-hour change settled at roughly -0.3 per cent to -0.5 per cent on most feeds, though one snapshot briefly showed a small positive. There were no sustained breakouts in either direction. Asia’s AI founders are increasingly facing a split-screen reality. Investor interest is high, but building at the frontier of artificial intelligence still requires more than a seed cheque. Startups need access to large models, cloud infrastructure, technical feedback, distribution channels and patient capital, all while competing with better-funded peers in the US and China. For much of the past three decades, American companies operating overseas benefited from a powerful assumption: that despite periodic political turbulence at home, the United States (US) remained a predictable and broadly reliable commercial partner. That assumption has been badly tested. Yet the latest phase of the US-European relationship is more complicated than a simple […] The post Europe’s trade truce with America has not restored trust in American business appeared first on e27.
Korea's homegrown Nuri rocket is set for its fifth launch Wednesday, carrying 15 satellites, including five that will form part of the country's first domestically launched microsatellite constellation. The three-stage rocket is scheduled to lift off from the Naro Space Center in Goheung, about 400 kilometers south of Seoul, at 12:25 p.m., Oh Tae-seok, administrator of the Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA), said. Oh said the rocket is technically ready for launch, with weather and space conditions also favorable and no concerns over potential collisions with space objects, allowing the launch to proceed as scheduled. The payload consists of five New-space Earth Observation Satellite Constellation for National Safety (NEONSAT) microsatellites and 10 CubeSats. About four hours before liftoff, the launch team will begin filling the three-stage rocket with kerosene fuel and liquid oxygen oxidizer after completing system checks. Nuri's first and second stages will separate about 123 and 268 seconds after liftoff, respectively, with satellite deployment beginning between 810 and 960 seconds
Concierge medicine is expensive for a simple reason: physician attention is scarce. A typical primary-care doctor may be responsible for 2,000 or more patients, while concierge practices generally restrict panels to 400 or fewer to 600.
