New solvent-free, high-solid and water-based anticorrosive coatings target the petrochemical, metallurgy, power, marine and infrastructure sectors, backed by an 80,000-tonne annual production base in Taixing, China.
Taixing, China, September 10, 2026 -- Jiangsu Yunhu New Material Technology Co., Ltd., a comprehensive provider of high-performance industrial anticorrosive coatings and full-lifecycle corrosion protection services, today announced the launch of a new low-VOC industrial anticorrosive coating series, covering solvent-free anticorrosive coatings, high-solid-content anticorrosive coatings, water-based anticorrosive coatings, epoxy anticorrosive coatings, polyurethane topcoat anticorrosive coatings and high-temperature-resistant anticorrosive coatings.
The new series is engineered to address core pain points of steel and concrete structures in aggressive environments, including high VOC emissions, short coating service life, pinhole defects and corrosion under condensing acid and saline exposure. Through this launch, the company aims to bring coating systems validated across large petrochemical projects to global customers seeking compliant, durable and cost-effective corrosion protection.

Core Technology Highlights and Product Advantages
Built on more than four decades of anticorrosive coating R&D and a 26-patent portfolio developed with universities and national research institutes, the new series delivers measurable performance across demanding conditions.
Solvent-Free Anticorrosive Coatings. A two-component epoxy system with volume solids of 95 percent plus or minus 2 percent and VOC below 50 g per liter, applied at a single-film thickness of up to 220 microns in a primer-and-topcoat-in-one formula. Enclosed storage-tank data shows coating passes cut from three to one or two, schedules shortened by 32 percent, and a corrosion protection service life of up to 20 years under specified operating conditions”, while eliminating solvent fire risk in confined spaces.
High-Solid and Water-Based Anticorrosive Coatings. The high-solid-content system, with solids of 82 percent or above, tolerates damp and poorly prepared surfaces, reducing coating consumption by about 17 percent and labor by 29 percent at equivalent dry film thickness, with salt-spray resistance reaching 6,000 hours under specified test conditions. The water-based epoxy primer replaces solvent thinner with water and, according to company data, reduces hazardous-waste generation by approximately 60 percent.
High-Temperature-Resistant Anticorrosive Coatings. Designed for flue gas ducts, electrostatic precipitators, boilers and exhaust systems, the system withstands continuous service at up to 200 degrees Celsius and resists condensing dilute acid at concentrations up to 40 percent. Reference projects show no visible substrate corrosion after eight years of service. In one application, the coating system was estimated to avoid approximately RMB 700,000 in equipment replacement costs.
Epoxy Anticorrosive Coatings. Offering heat resistance up to 250 degrees Celsius and resistance to sulfuric acid up to 40 percent concentration, the system provides static-dissipative, abrasion-resistant protection for storage tanks and process equipment, with adhesion stability above 5 megapascals and a 12-year service record in immersed chemical wastewater service.
Global Compliance and Certifications
Jiangsu Yunhu coating systems are manufactured under ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system certifications, with the company holding CCS China Classification Society type approval and an in-house CNAS-accredited laboratory. VOC levels are verified by third-party testing. As export requirements vary by market, international buyers should confirm destination-specific requirements with the sales team.
Supply Information and Customization Services
Beyond standard products, Jiangsu Yunhu provides customized services based on its CNAS laboratory and engineering team, including formulation tailoring for strong acid and alkali, high-low temperature cycling and seawater environments, on-site technical guidance and construction support, and full-lifecycle services from site survey and coating selection to application and post-maintenance warranty.
"Yunhu has built its coating systems over four decades of development and on-site validation in large petrochemical projects," said Liujiadong, technical director at Jiangsu Yunhu New Material Technology Co., Ltd. "Our new low-VOC series is designed to give international customers the same coating reliability, measured in salt-spray hours, film thickness and service life, while meeting stricter environmental requirements. We treat coating selection as part of the asset full lifecycle, not a one-time purchase."
Industry Background and Corporate Strategy
According to Grand View Research, the global anticorrosive coatings market is expected to grow steadily through 2030, driven by expanding petrochemical, marine, power and infrastructure construction and by tightening VOC regulations that push demand toward high-solid, solvent-free and water-based systems.
The launch reflects Jiangsu Yunhu's strategy of combining production capability with a Grade-I waterproof, anticorrosion and thermal-insulation construction qualification, offering a full-lifecycle solution, from coating R&D and manufacture to site application and maintenance, for large engineering projects at home and abroad.
Future Plans
Looking ahead, Jiangsu Yunhu will continue to invest in anticorrosive coating R&D, expanding its product matrix in solvent-free, water-based, high-temperature-resistant and specialty systems for global customers. The company also plans to strengthen its overseas sales and technical support network for faster local guidance, sampling and after-sales service on international projects.
