HireABus.com combines conversational AI, intelligent operator matching and instant pricing to simplify group transportation anywhere in the world.
Croydon, Surrey Sep 9, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - HireABus.com has announced the global relaunch of its group transportation booking platform, following a major redevelopment designed to make booking buses, coaches and minibuses faster, simpler and more intelligent.
Backed by a team with decades of experience building technology and successful booking platforms for the bus and coach industry, HireABus.com has been extensively revamped around a simple idea: booking group transportation shouldn't be complicated.
Instead of searching for operators, completing multiple enquiry forms or trying to work out exactly what type of vehicle is required, customers can simply chat with the HireABus.com quote widget and explain their journey.
The platform's technology interprets the request, calculates instant indicative pricing and uses intelligent matching to identify suitable transport operators capable of fulfilling the journey.
Whether it's a simple airport transfer, corporate event, school trip, nationwide tour or a complex itinerary covering multiple cities or even multiple countries, HireABus.com is designed to manage the complexity behind the scenes.
Tell us where you're going. We'll work out the rest.
Group transportation becomes considerably more complicated when a journey extends beyond a straightforward point-to-point transfer.
A tour may require transport across several cities. An international group may need vehicles in multiple countries. A corporate event may involve hundreds of passengers, multiple collection points and different arrival times.
HireABus.com has been redesigned around the journey rather than expecting customers to understand how the transport industry works.
Users simply explain what they need in natural language, including destinations, dates, passenger numbers, stops and any additional requirements.
The platform then turns that conversation into structured transport requirements and intelligently matches the journey with potential operators.
Customers can receive pricing, compare suitable options and manage their booking through one platform, even when the itinerary itself is complex.
More bookings for operators, without more marketing spend
The revamped HireABus.com isn't only designed to transform the customer experience.
For bus, coach and minibus operators, the platform creates a new way to access booking opportunities without having to continually increase their own marketing spend.
Operators can receive opportunities matched to their fleet, location and availability, then choose which jobs they want to quote for and which they don't.
That flexibility also creates opportunities to make better use of existing capacity.
An operator completing a one-way journey may be able to pick up another booking for the return journey rather than travelling empty. Vehicles with available capacity can potentially be matched with additional demand. Operators travelling outside their usual service area may also discover suitable jobs that would previously have been inaccessible to them.
Rather than simply generating leads, the ambition is to create a more intelligent marketplace where available transport capacity can be connected with genuine customer demand.
Technology built around the realities of group transportation
Unlike a conventional directory or enquiry website, HireABus.com is being developed around the specific complexities of group transportation.
Its conversational quote technology can interpret customer requirements and translate them into the information required to price and fulfil a journey.
The matching algorithm can then connect those requirements with potential operators, helping customers find appropriate transport while giving operators access to relevant opportunities.
Mark Walker, CTO, said:
"The real opportunity with AI isn't simply adding a chatbot to a booking website. It's using technology to understand what a customer is actually trying to achieve and then turning that into something the transport industry can fulfil.
"Group transportation can involve multiple vehicles, destinations, dates, stops and even countries. Our challenge is to make all of that complexity feel simple to the person making the booking.
"We're combining AI with specialist transport technology and decades of industry knowledge to build an experience that can become smarter and more useful as the network grows."
A global marketplace for group transportation
The long-term vision for HireABus.com extends beyond individual bookings.
The platform is designed to create a connected global marketplace where customer demand can be intelligently matched with transport capacity.
For customers, that means greater choice and a much simpler way to organise complex journeys.
For operators, it means greater visibility of relevant work, opportunities beyond their traditional marketing reach and the ability to make better commercial use of vehicles that may otherwise travel empty.
It also creates opportunities for operators to collaborate indirectly across regions and countries, enabling HireABus.com to facilitate journeys that would be difficult for a customer to organise independently.
Mark Walker added:
"There are excellent independent transport operators all over the world, but the industry remains highly fragmented.
"At the same time, customers increasingly expect booking travel to be easy, fast and digital.
"HireABus.com sits between those two worlds. We're using technology to make a fragmented global supply network easier for customers to access while creating new commercial opportunities for the operators within it."
Built for corporate and frequent bookers
The revamped platform also includes dedicated functionality for businesses and organisations managing regular group transportation.
Corporate customers can use HireABus.com to centralise transport purchasing rather than managing individual journeys through separate operators, emails and payment processes.
This makes the platform particularly relevant for businesses, travel companies, event organisers, schools, universities and other organisations managing frequent or complex group travel.
Decades of transport technology experience behind the platform
HireABus.com was created by the team behind Transporters.io, a specialist transport booking and management software company.
The team behind the platforms has decades of experience developing booking technology and digital systems specifically for the bus, coach and minibus industry.
That experience has shaped the redevelopment of HireABus.com, combining emerging AI capabilities with an understanding of the operational realities involved in actually delivering group transportation.
Gemma Purnell, CEO at HireABus.com said:
"Technology alone isn't enough. You need to understand how operators work, how journeys are priced, what customers ask for and where bookings become complicated.
"That's the advantage we have. We're not trying to learn the bus and coach industry from the outside. We've spent decades working within it, and we're now using that knowledge to rethink what a global booking platform can do."

Chinese humanoid robot makers are accelerating efforts to gain a foothold in Korea, moving beyond dance performances and showroom displays to factory trials and other commercial applications as Seoul beefs up investment in physical artificial intelligence (AI). A string of Chinese robotics companies have flexed their muscles or announced projects in the country this year, including Hong Kong-listed Ubtech, startup Anyverse Dynamics, Shanghai-based Agibot and leading robot maker Unitree. “China’s new generation of robot companies has global DNA and naturally looks overseas, and Korea is one of the most important markets in Asia-Pacific,” said Ethan Qi, an associate director covering robotics at Counterpoint Research. The absence of locally built humanoids available at scale has created an opening for Chinese suppliers, he added. Early footprint Representatives of Galaxy Robot Park, a robot-themed entertainment venue in Seoul, agreed to buy Ubtech’s lifelike U1 model after attending its debut in Shenzhen in June, according to Sean Qin, overseas head of the company's commercial robo
Three young Korean pianists — supported by Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation — have earned international recognition this year, winning top prizes at major competitions in Europe and the United States. Shin Young-ho, 19, placed second in the piano category at the 76th Giovanni Battista Viotti International Music Competition, which concluded in Vercelli, Italy, on Oct. 17. Lee Jeong-woo, 18, won first prize at the 20th George Enescu International Competition in Bucharest, Romania, in September, while Lee Ju-eon, 15, claimed prizes at three international piano competitions in the United States during the first half of the year. Hyundai Engineering & Construction (E&C) and three other local builders are at risk of losing more than 1 trillion won ($755 million) tied up in a major Iraqi refinery project, according to documents obtained by a ruling party lawmaker Friday. Hyundai E&C, GS Engineering & Construction, SK ecoplant and Hyundai Engineering have yet to collect 625.4 billion won in outstanding payments and are facing the possible forfeiture of another 420.2 billion won in performance guarantees. The builders have been seeking payment for work on the $6.8 billion Karbala Refinery Project, commissioned by Iraq's state-owned State Company for Oil Projects (SCOP). Company materials provided to Rep. Lee Jae-gang of the ruling Democratic Party of Korea showed the construction of a refinery capable of processing 140,000 barrels of crude oil per day was delayed by factors including Iraq’s internal conflict and the COVID-19 pandemic. The companies handed over the refinery's facilities to the Iraqi side in December 2023. However, SCOP has withheld payments, citing outstanding defects and missing tax-related docume
Woojin Industrial Systems, a Korean manufacturer of railway vehicles and electric buses, said Friday it has been selected for this year’s Ministry of Employment and Labor recognition program honoring companies for creating jobs and improving working conditions. The annual program recognizes 100 private companies and provides administrative and financial incentives to encourage hiring and improve workplace practices. Woojin said investment outside the Seoul metropolitan area helped drive its employment growth. It completed a 47 billion won ($35 million) electric bus factory in Gimcheon, North Gyeongsang Province, supporting efforts to recruit about 100 local workers. The proportion of the company’s workforce covered by employment insurance rose to 673 at the end of 2025 from 578 in 2024. Woojin attributed the growth to investment and recruitment partnerships with local universities and vocational high schools. Of its 140 new hires in 2025, 64 were aged 15 to 34. The company said expanded recruitment of women and support for maternity protection measures helped reduce its female employ
With the Korea Federation of Banks (KFB) set to appoint its next chairman, several former financial executives and regulators are emerging as potential candidates to take the helm of the country’s leading banking lobby, according to industry officials on Friday. The federation represents 23 full members — commercial, regional and internet-only lenders — as well as 33 associate members, comprising branches of foreign banks. The incumbent, Cho Yong-byoung, is due to leave office on Nov. 30. Yoon Jong-kyoo, former chairman of KB Financial Group, has long been viewed as a front-runner. He served as a vice chairman at accounting firm Samil PwC and president of KB Kookmin Bank before leading KB Financial from 2014 to 2023, overseeing major acquisitions including LIG Insurance and Hyundai Securities. But the prospect of another KB Financial veteran taking a top post at a financial industry association has drawn growing resistance. The concern has intensified after Lee Dong-chul, a former KB Financial vice chairman, took the helm of the Credit Finance Association this year, followed by Kim
