Global Coin announced its September 11 25th Anniversary Two-Coin Silver Set — two 5 oz .999 legal tender proofs featuring silver recovered from Twin Towers vaults, NGC Proof 70, 100 sets — donating $100 per coin to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
Fitchburg, WI, September 9, 2026 -- Global Coin today announced that it will donate $100 from the sale of every coin in its September 11 25th Anniversary Two-Coin Silver Set to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks while supporting those who sacrifice in service to the United States.
Created as a lasting tribute to the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the families forever changed by September 11, the commemorative coin gives collectors a meaningful way to help ensure that America never forgets.
“September 11 is a day that must remain part of our national memory,” said Stephen Pfeil, founder and CEO of Global Coin. “This coin honors the courage, sacrifice, and unity that defined our country in the aftermath of the attacks. By donating $100 from every coin sold to Tunnel to Towers, we are proud to help carry that legacy forward and support the heroes and families who have given so much.”

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation was established in honor of FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller, who laid down his life while saving others on September 11, 2001. Today, the Foundation provides mortgage-free homes to Gold Star families and families of fallen first responders, builds specially adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders, works to eradicate veteran homelessness, and advances September 11 education and remembrance.
“Collectors understand the power of preserving history,” Pfeil added. “This release transforms that responsibility into direct action. Every coin will preserve the story of September 11 while generating tangible support for the people who continue to embody its legacy of service.”
About the Coin
The September 11 25th Anniversary Two-Coin Silver Set includes two legal tender American coins — a reverse proof and a matte finish proof. Each obverse features the New York City skyline with the Statue of Liberty turned to watch over the Twin Towers, the inscription "We Will Never Forget" marking 25 years, and dual dating 2001–2026. Each reverse depicts the American bald eagle in front of the U.S. flag with the Liberty Bell above, dual dated 1776–2026 in celebration of America's 250th anniversary. Each coin is struck in 5 oz of pure .999 silver — including silver recovered from the vaults beneath the Twin Towers — and is graded PROOF 70 by NGC with the First Day of Issue designation. Only 100 of each variety have been struck worldwide, and the coins come as a set with matching serial numbers. Each holder is hand-autographed by Anna Cabral, U.S. Treasurer under President George W. Bush.
The coin will be available beginning September 8, 2026 at shopglobalcoin.com, while supplies last. Global Coin will donate $100 to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation for each qualifying coin sold, until the edition sells out. Once the entire edition has sold out, Global Coin representatives will travel to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum at the site of the Twin Towers to present a $20,000 check to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Shareholder return policies of Samsung Electronics and SK hynix are gaining market attention ahead of their announcements for third-quarter earnings, as investors see them as a key way to address the mismatch between the chipmakers' record-breaking profits and their sluggish share prices. Samsung Electronics is set to announce its three-month financial results during its earnings call on Thursday, while SK hynix said it will announce its results on its earnings call on Wednesday. Earnings are expected to be exceptionally strong, as surging demand for memory chips and continued supply bottlenecks have driven up average selling prices across the memory chip market. In its earnings guidance released Oct. 8, Samsung Electronics estimated third-quarter revenue of 195 trillion won ($146.96 billion) and operating profit of 107.4 trillion won. If realized, the company will become the first Korean company to surpass 100 trillion won in quarterly operating profit. SK hynix is expected to post 98.23 trillion won in revenue and 76.96 trillion won in operating profit during the same period, according

Most conferences are built the same way. A committee brainstorms a theme, a team chases speakers, a designer lays out a program, and everyone hopes the real value happens in the corridors. Three days in Dubai this October worked differently. Most industrial CCTV cameras lead a thankless life. They record everything, are watched by almost no one, and only become important after something has gone wrong, when their footage turns into evidence rather than prevention. Indonesia is losing its farmers. According to Statistics Indonesia (BPS), the number of farmers dropped from 31.7 million in 2013 to 29.3 million in 2023. That is a drop of about 7.5 per cent in ten years. Many of them moved to other jobs, such as construction work, factory work, or selling in the market, […] The post Youth brain drain: A hidden threat in Indonesia’s agriculture sector appeared first on e27.
Long before artificial intelligence became the next big thing in the tech industry, Wang Jian was crafting the foundational infrastructure that would eventually power it. In 2008, he joined Alibaba Group Holding – owner of the South China Morning Post – as chief architect and founded Alibaba Cloud in 2009, convincing the company’s leadership to invest heavily in building a cloud computing infrastructure from scratch. Today, Wang’s purview has expanded considerably. As an academician at the...

A running joke in Singapore’s startup circles holds that a founder’s net worth exists only in two places: the cap table and the LinkedIn bio. For most of Southeast Asia’s entrepreneurs, the joke still lands. While few dispute that China is narrowing the gap with the United States in developing artificial intelligence (AI) models, there is one area where Chinese firms are already the undisputed leaders: video. China has seen a proliferation of advanced generative AI video models – systems trained on visual data to generate or edit video content based on user inputs such as text prompts, images and audio. The country’s vast short-video ecosystems and looser copyright rules have helped give Chinese...
Southeast Asia has a talent for making climate pledges sound like wedding vows: grand, emotional and frequently broken. Net-zero deadlines stretch to 2050 and beyond, yet coal still dominates several national grids, petrol motorbikes still choke the cities and mangroves still vanish faster than ministers can name them. Into that gap has stepped a scrappy […] The post Thirty climate tech startups in Southeast Asia that would rather build than pledge appeared first on e27.
