Sep 11, 2026

United States, September 11, 2026 -- FnB Coffee, the green coffee export division of PT FnB Tech Indonesia, is marking 20 years of continuous green coffee shipments to the United States since 2006 and has set a 2026 export target of 230 metric tons, equivalent to twelve 20-foot containers. Beans are sourced from partner farmer networks across nine production centers from Aceh to Papua, covering 15 products from more than 10 origins including Aceh Gayo, Bali Kintamani Arabica, and wild-collected Kopi Luwak. Fair Trade, Fair Trade Organic, EU Organic, and NOP certifications apply across the network, giving US and European buyers verified traceability from origin. FnB Coffee will exhibit at SCAJ in Tokyo, booth 1106, from 14 to 17 October 2026.

FnB Coffee, the green coffee export division of PT FnB Tech Indonesia, is marking 20 years of continuous shipments to the United States and has set a 2026 export target of 230 metric tons, equivalent to twelve 20-foot containers.

The company has shipped to US buyers since 2006. That record reflects two decades of trade relationships with roasters and importers across North America and Europe rather than a recent entry into the market.

FnB Coffee currently offers 15 active products drawn from more than 10 Indonesian origins, covering Arabica, Robusta, Liberica, Excelsa, and wild-collected Kopi Luwak. Three origins anchor the current lineup.

Aceh Gayo. Arabica from Aceh is produced through a partner network of 1,690 farmers across 24 villages, working 82 hectares and yielding 45 lots per season. Of these, 1,151 partners hold Fair Trade Organic certification with EU Organic and NOP recognition. The origin is available as semi washed, full washed, natural, wine, and carbonic maceration.

Bali Kintamani Arabica. Honey-processed Arabica from Bali, supplied through five farmer groups with a capacity of 20 tons per harvest season.

Kopi Luwak Coffee. Wild-collected civet coffee, offered as green beans for roasters seeking Indonesia's most distinctive specialty lot.

Beyond these three, the catalog includes Mandheling and Lintong from North Sumatra, Toraja Sapan from South Sulawesi, Flores Bajawa from East Nusa Tenggara, Java Preanger from West Java, and Robusta from Lampung.

The sourcing network spans nine production centers from Aceh to Papua. In North Sumatra, 436 partners work 112 hectares with an annual capacity of 60 tons. In Flores, 1,080 partners farm 3,000 hectares. Smaller operations in Central Java, East Java, and Papua supply Robusta, Excelsa, and Wamena Arabica. Certifications across the network include Fair Trade, Fair Trade Organic, EU Organic, and NOP.

Processing options vary by origin and include full washed, semi washed, natural, natural anaerobic, honey, wine, and carbonic maceration, allowing roasters to select lots by cup profile rather than origin alone.

FnB Coffee will exhibit at SCAJ, the Specialty Coffee Association of Japan exhibition, from 14 to 17 October 2026 at Tokyo Big Sight, South Halls 1 and 2, booth 1106. Buyers attending can arrange meetings in advance.

Roasters and importers can request samples and discuss sourcing terms through the company's website.

SK, Samsung among Korean firms considering Westinghouse stake acquisition

Major Korean companies including Samsung, SK and Doosan are considering participating in the acquisition of a stake in U.S. nuclear power company Westinghouse, according to industry sources. If private companies join nuclear cooperation between Korea and the United States, which has so far been led largely by state-run companies such as Korea Electric Power Corp. (KEPCO) and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP), the move is expected to give Korean companies greater momentum in entering the U.S. nuclear power market. Government and industry sources said Wednesday that the government has been surveying nuclear power-related companies about their interest in investing in Westinghouse since announcing its investment plans in the United States. Companies interested in participating recently gathered at a meeting hosted by KEPCO to discuss potential investment options, according to the sources. Samsung C&T, SK Group, Hyundai Engineering & Construction and Doosan Enerbility were among the companies that attended the meeting. Securing a stake in Westinghouse is one of the key issues in investment

Taihan Cable & Solution wins large US power grid turnkey project

Taihan Cable & Solution, a leading power cable and energy infrastructure manufacturer, said Thursday that its U.S. subsidiary has won a turnkey extra-high-voltage grid project in the United States, capitalizing on surging power demand from artificial intelligence (AI) and data centers. Under the deal, the subsidiary, T.E.USA, will oversee local engineering, construction and other work, while the Korean headquarters will produce and supply key materials such as extra-high-voltage cables and joints. In a turnkey contract, a single company handles a project from design through construction and hands it over ready for operation. The headquarters and the U.S. unit signed a material supply contract worth about 120 billion won ($89 million), which the company disclosed in a regulatory filing Thursday. Taihan did not reveal the total value of the turnkey project or the client, citing a nondisclosure agreement. The order follows another extra-high-voltage turnkey project worth about 100 billion won that the company won in the U.S. in January. Taihan said it has won all 500-kilovolt high-voltage a

CJ ONE launches global membership service for foreign visitors

CJ OliveNetworks, the digital and technology unit of CJ Group, is branching into the travel industry with a new global membership service that enables foreign visitors in Korea to earn rewards and redeem points at participating merchants, leveraging the country's tourism boom to drive new growth. The company said Thursday that its lifestyle membership platform, CJ ONE, had introduced CJ ONE Global, allowing international visitors to sign up using only email verification, without requiring a Korean phone number or domestic identification. The launch comes as interest in Korean food, shopping and culture spreads alongside the global popularity of Korean entertainment. According to the Korea Tourism Organization, about 12.8 million foreign tourists visited Korea from January through July, up 21.3 percent from the same period last year. Once registered, members receive a mobile barcode through the CJ ONE app that they can use to earn and redeem points at participating stores, as well as access new-member and birthday benefits. The service connects visitors with businesses spanning tourism, re

FADU unveils world's 1st file-semantic SSD to power AI workloads

Korean data center chipmaker FADU has unveiled what it calls the world’s first file-semantic solid-state drive (SSD), a storage technology designed to help artificial intelligence (AI) systems access data faster while reducing computing overhead and power consumption. The company introduced its file-semantic SSD, or FS-SSD, at the 2026 Open Compute Project Global Summit in San Jose, California, which ran from Monday to Thursday under the theme “Scaling Innovation for the AI Era.” Unlike conventional SSDs, which manage data through block addresses, FADU’s FS-SSD is designed to recognize and manage files directly, shifting tasks traditionally handled by a server’s central processing unit and operating system into the storage device itself. The technology uses FADU’s sixth-generation SSD controller, equipped with firmware that handles file searches, access permissions and file-to-address translation within the drive. By embedding file requests in standard Non-Volatile Memory Express commands, the system allows accelerators such as graphics processing units and data processing un

Character.ai was worth US$2.7B to Google. Disney just offered US$20M

In August 2024, Google wrote Character.ai a cheque for roughly US$2.7 billion. On Monday, Disney offered US$20 million. Both were for a licence to the same company’s technology. Allowing for the fine print, that is a fall of more than 99 per cent in a little over two years. Character.ai filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy […] The post Character.ai was worth US$2.7B to Google. Start-up unveils prototype ‘heart’ of EUV lithography amid China chipmaking push

A Chinese start-up has unveiled a prototype extreme ultraviolet (EUV) light-source machine – a component often described as the “heart” of advanced lithography systems – marking an early but critical step in Beijing’s drive for self-reliance in chipmaking equipment. At the China International Industry Fair in Shanghai, Langdao Silex displayed its self-developed EUV light-source system. Ninety per cent of the machine’s components were localised, with the vast majority of core parts developed...

AI can increase productivity. It can’t increase human capacity

We may be using AI to save hours of work, only to fill those hours with more work. This is something I have been thinking about as organisations accelerate their investment in AI. The productivity opportunity is undeniable. Generative AI can draft in seconds, analyse large volumes of information, automate administrative work and give leaders […] The post AI can increase productivity. AI and inflation are driving Singapore’s workplace anxiety. Employers are spending on the wrong fix

Most Singapore office workers know the ritual. A message lands at 10.47pm. It is not urgent. You answer it within 90 seconds anyway, not because the work demands it, but because you want someone to notice that you answered it within 90 seconds. It turns out that performance is playing to a near-empty theatre. The […] The post AI and inflation are driving Singapore’s workplace anxiety. Human rights: Lost in the “S” of ESG?

Human rights are getting diluted or ignored in the oft-neglected “S” (social) of ESG, even though the rules for protecting them have been clear for a decade and a half. The 2011 UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights make every company responsible for respecting human rights and for finding, preventing, and repairing the harm […] The post Human rights: Lost in the “S” of ESG? appeared first on e27.

Institutional buyers face a massive test at the US$81,000 Bitcoin support level

The cryptocurrency sector experienced a severe and sudden decline over the last 24 hours. Bitcoin fell 2.28 per cent to US$81,370.58. The broader digital asset ecosystem mirrored this downward trajectory, dropping 2.22 per cent to a total valuation of US$2.74 trillion. An unexpectedly hot United States inflation report drove this widespread selloff across all major […] The post Institutional buyers face a massive test at the US$81,000 Bitcoin support level appeared first on e27.

Every dashboard is green. So why can’t anyone say what worked?

Here is an uncomfortable finding for anyone building a 2027 marketing plan this month: audiences are warming to advertising, and marketers are growing less sure that theirs works. That tension sits at the centre of Kantar’s Media Reactions study, published on 2 October and based on interviews with more than 800 senior marketers and 23,000 […] The post Every dashboard is green.
