Market Drivers and Restraints:
Growing Demand for Renewable Energy Drives Europe to Top Position in Energy Harvesting Market. The global energy harvesting market is expected to exhibit a high CAGR over the forecast period between 2016 and 2027, according to the latest research report from Market Research Future (MRFR). The global energy harvesting market is studied in detail in the report, which aims to find out how the market is likely to progress over the forecast period and what are the major drivers influencing the market’s trajectory over that period.
Energy harvesting is a simple term for the process of capturing the energy from an external power source and storing it for later use. Though it sounds simple, the global energy harvesting market has been slow to evolve due to the technical difficulties in constructing efficient energy storage systems. Battery and other energy storage systems have emerged as a major technological barrier in recent times, as the technology seems to have hit a peak. The global energy harvesting market is thus likely to grow at a stable rate over the forecast period, driven by the growing demand for effective technological advancement in the field of energy harvesting.
The growing demand for solar and wind power is also likely to be a major driver for the global energy harvesting market. The growing solar and wind power markets have emerged as a key consumer for energy harvesting market leaders, as harvesting the energy generated in solar and wind energy apparatuses is a crucial part of the overall infrastructure around these systems. As the production of electric power through wind and solar power is transient and unreliable for constant power delivery, energy harvesting systems become hugely important to these technologies. Increasing efforts are likely to be taken in these fields to develop effective energy harvesting systems over the coming years, leading to steady growth of the global energy harvesting market over the forecast period.
Leading players in the global energy harvesting market are likely to focus on research efforts to come up with solid solutions for the leading customers in the energy harvesting market. Collaborating with external research institutions is also likely to be an extremely popular avenue for players in the energy harvesting market over the forecast period, as many promising innovations in battery technology occur in research environments in universities and other research institutes. In May 2019, researchers at the International Society for Optics and Photonics demonstrated a new nanotech-based device to harvest solar energy. Called evolutive dipole nanoantenna, the device is said to possess the ability to generate three times as much voltage as conventional classic dipole nanoantennas.
Energy harvesting market Segment Analysis:
The global energy harvesting market is segmented on the basis of energy source, technology, application, and region.
By energy source, the global energy harvesting market is segmented into chemicals, mechanical, electrical, nuclear, thermal, and gravitational.
By technology, the global energy harvesting market is segmented into electrodynamics, photovoltaics, thermoelectric, and others.
By application, the global energy harvesting market is segmented into consumer electronics, industrial, aerospace and defense, automotive, healthcare, and others.
Regional Analysis:
Europe currently dominates the global energy harvesting market and is likely to remain the leading player over the forecast period due to the growing presence of leading energy harvesting market players in the region, which has led to the development of a strong research sector in the field. The growing government support to renewable energy initiatives in Europe is also a major driver for the energy harvesting market in the region.
Asia Pacific and North America are both expected to make rapid progress in the global energy harvesting market over the forecast period due to the growing public and government support for renewable energy initiatives in the region, which has driven the demand for effective energy harvesting mechanisms.

I build AI tools for marketers, and run an AI marketing software firm in Singapore, so I spend a lot of time hearing about AI adoption. After narrowly losing yet another pitch earlier this year, I added up the time I had spent preparing proposals: 300 hours in four months. I wanted to know whether we were pursuing the right business. Homeplus, which narrowly avoided liquidation and resumed operations in August, is struggling to regain its footing as weak sales and stalled takeover efforts cloud its recovery, according to industry officials Monday. The uncertainty has also prompted a wave of voluntary resignations among employees. A major supermarket chain, Homeplus is currently undergoing court-led rehabilitation after struggling for years with the decline of the country’s hypermarket sector and consumers’ shift to online shopping. In July, the Seoul Bankruptcy Court briefly terminated the proceedings after the embattled retailer failed to secure the minimum 200 billion won ($150 million) in fresh funding needed to carry out its restructuring plan. Homeplus reversed that outcome only after obtaining emergency financing from Meritz Financial Group, its largest creditor, at the last minute. The retailer reopened all 67 of its remaining stores nationwide on Aug. 13, hoping to put its recovery back on track. Sales reached 10.63 billion won on the first day, followed by a daily average of 8.7 billion won over the nex
Creditors of JoongAng Ilbo Co. picked DaouKiwoom-CJ consortium as the preferred bidder for one of the major South Korean newspaper publishers as they closed bidding for the debt-laden company earlier in the day, industry sources said Monday. According to the sources, the DaouKiwoom-CJ consortium beat Orion and four others in a race to take over JoongAng Ilbo, a deal estimated at between 400 billion won ($300 million) and 500 billion won. In July this year, JoongAng Ilbo entered the debt workout program, led by main creditor Hana Bank and other lenders, amid liquidity problems at its parent, JoongAng Group. Creditors' debt collection has been suspended for three months, allowing the company to avoid court-led rehabilitation proceedings. JoongAng Holdings owns a 64.7 percent stake in JoongAng Ilbo and is controlled by the founding family of JoongAng Group.
