DS18 Brings Three Custom Audio Builds and PROJECT360 to SEMA 2026, Featuring JUCA's Hot Wheels Kool Kombi

Oct 2, 2026

Las Vegas, United States, October 2, 2026 -- DS18, the audio brand known for its focus on high-output audio solutions for car, marine, and powersports applications, announced today that it is bringing a fresh lineup of product showcases, including all PROJECT360 products, three custom builds and an 8,000-watt RAYO system, as well as a special appearance from YouTuber and influencer JUCA and his Hot Wheels Volkswagen “Kool Kombi” to the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show 2026, one of the automotive industry’s premier annual trade-only events. Attendees will find DS18 at booth #10120.

This year’s SEMA Show will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from November 3–6, 2026. As a trade-only access show, SEMA will only be open to the general public on Friday, November 6.

SEMA is where automotive professionals go to see what’s next in the multi-billion-dollar automotive aftermarket industry. Each year, SEMA treats attendees to nonstop energy across the show floor and showcases the types of installs that push sound and performance to the limit. SEMA is the only automotive industry trade-only show where pros can encounter hundreds of brands and thousands of new products from hundreds of exhibitors, witness the latest custom vehicle trends firsthand, and access free education sessions.

This year will also mark the first appearance of DS18’s PROJECT360 product line at SEMA. PROJECT360 launched in April 2026 and is DS18’s lineup of high-sensitivity mid-high loudspeakers featuring the brand’s patent-pending Rotating Recone Design, which lets users quickly rotate and remove the main cone module from the basket to replace a damaged voice coil module without replacing the entire speaker.

DS18’s presence at SEMA will be led by Rob Ferro, the company’s Field Marketing Manager, but best known to fans as “Mr. DS18” on the company’s YouTube channel. Ferro says he’s excited to be on site for the show’s full duration.

“SEMA is where we get to meet the community face-to-face and show what DS18 is all about,” Ferro says. “This year, we’re bringing three builds and our full array of PROJECT360 products that are guaranteed to stop you in your tracks. Come by the booth if you’re looking for fresh ideas for your next system or just want to be around people who are as obsessed with loud and clean audio as you are.”

As DS18 welcomes JUCA to SEMA 2026, the brand gives fans a chance to engage with one of Latin America’s most influential automotive personalities. JUCA and DS18 maintain an ongoing partnership revolving around collaborative builds such as RAYO, JUCA’s custom tribute to J Balvin’s original 1997 Volkswagen Golf. In addition to custom 17-inch rims featuring Balvin’s smiley logo and scissor doors, JUCA aimed to make the build as loud as possible. DS18 Mexico provided the power he needed with an estimated 8,000-watt pro-audio setup.

As a special treat, JUCA also plans to display his Hot Wheels Volkswagen, the 2019 Hot Wheels Mexico Convention Kool Kombi, at SEMA 2026. This collectible was limited to a worldwide production run of 7,000 individually numbered units.

East Asia’s crypto market splits as Korea bets on AI tokens and Hong Kong courts institutions

East Asia’s crypto market is no longer moving as one bloc. AI is starting to behave less like a tool and more like a teammate

Most AI writing about work still treats the technology like an advanced tool. That framing made sense when AI mainly waited for a prompt, returned an answer, and stopped there. But that is no longer the whole picture. In more organisations, AI is starting to look less like software you use and more like a […] The post AI is starting to behave less like a tool and more like a teammate appeared first on e27.

Gartner says AI will kill the entry-level marketing job by 2030. Here’s why that’s the wrong takeaway

Nearly one in five marketing leaders has already eliminated roles because automation now handles the work. That is the finding behind a new Gartner prediction, which Marketing Week reported this week: by 2030, most high-performing marketing teams will be able to drop the traditional bottom rungs of the corporate ladder. The headline number is 18 […] The post Gartner says AI will kill the entry-level marketing job by 2030. Here’s why that’s the wrong takeaway appeared first on e27.

Why Southeast Asia’s VCs should pay attention to a16z’s new investment bet

In 2021, I invested in one of the robotics startups that was solving for real world problems. The idea was to look beyond the screen and make every hardware talking through new robo technology. My thesis was clear, after the software it’s hardware that will be disrupted. Since AI disrupted the market after 2022, my […] The post Why Southeast Asia’s VCs should pay attention to a16z’s new investment bet appeared first on e27.

AI’s bottleneck economy is taking shape across Southeast Asia’s chip supply chain

The artificial intelligence investment story is beginning to move beyond the most obvious winners. For much of the past three years, the market’s attention has centred on graphics processing units (GPUs), high-bandwidth memory and the companies supplying the raw compute needed to train large AI models. That first wave is not over. But according to […] The post AI’s bottleneck economy is taking shape across Southeast Asia’s chip supply chain appeared first on e27.

The agent that lied: what GPT-6.1 Astra’s cancellation means for Southeast Asia

The most consequential AI launch of the past week was one that never happened. On the eve of its annual developer conference, OpenAI shelved GPT-6.1 Astra, the model expected to power ChatGPT and Codex next month and built to handle complex tasks with less human supervision.
