November 14, 2019 - /PressAdvantage/ - Los Angeles, California based legal firm Los Angeles DUI Lawyer is reaching out to the wider community to explain what they should do if they find themselves facing their 3rd DUI charge. The firm has many years of experience and a comprehensive understanding of drunk driving laws.
Driving Under the Influence, or DUI, is considered to be one of the most serious crimes possible, according to the United States Criminal Code. Los Angeles DUI Lawyer says there are a number of DUI-related charges someone can face, including an Impaired Driving Charge, Driving Under The Influence, Over 80 m.g. DUI, Failure to Provide a Breath Sample, Care and Control and more. Those who have been charged with a DUI can face a variety of consequences, such as having a Criminal Record, Serving a Jail Sentence, Drivers License Suspension, Payment of Fines, Travel Restrictions and the potential loss of Income.
Los Angeles DUI Lawyer says, “The consequences of a DUI conviction will obviously vary from case to case, depending on a number of facts, including the criminal background, if any, of the individual in question. Their personal circumstances will also play a serious role. Make no mistake, the courts take DUI offenses very seriously and, if you get convicted, it can alter your life in a very severe manner. With every subsequent DUI offense, you will find that the penalties and consequences keep getting more and more intense.”
As the firm explains, matters can get very ugly in the event of a 3rd DUI offense, and the severe legal implications that come with a 3rd repeated charge could be tough to defend and avoid. According to Los Angeles DUI Lawyer, the consequences for a 3rd DUI offense can include a license suspension for a period of 3-10 years, a fine of $2500+ (which may be higher as per the judge’s discretion), a minimum of 120 days of jail time (which could go up to one year) and the installation of an ignition interlock device for a period that may go up to three years even if the license is restored. In addition, the offender may also be subjected to an 18 month alcohol program, a morgue program, MADD program, community service and probation for a period of 3-5 years. The law firm says, “We won’t sugarcoat it—if you are facing your 3rd DUI offense charges, then it is most certainly going to be a tough fight for you. You are likely to face severe repercussions if you get charged with the offense, and it will be an extremely difficult situation to get out of because the prosecutors and the police will do their best to prove to the court that you are a danger to society. Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong visited the Al Dhafra gas-fired power plant construction site in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Wednesday (local time) to inspect construction progress and encourage employees working in the Middle East. Lee toured key facilities, checking construction schedules and safety measures, before meeting with executives from Samsung C&T and Samsung E&A to discuss regional market trends, growth strategies and new business opportunities. The Al Dhafra power plant is being built by Samsung C&T in a consortium with local construction firm Trojan General Contracting. It is designed to meet rising electricity demand amid the UAE's industrial growth and is expected to support energy-intensive industries, including artificial intelligence (AI) data centers. Samsung C&T previously demonstrated its construction capabilities through the Barakah nuclear power plant project in the UAE, while Samsung E&A uses the country as a key hub for its Middle East and Africa operations, undertaking projects in refining, gas and petrochemicals. Lotte World employees put their emergency response skills to the test Wednesday, competing in rapid firefighting and CPR challenges designed to sharpen their readiness when lives are at stake. The amusement park operator held its 2026 Fire Safety Competition in partnership with the Songpa Fire Station. The annual exercise comes as theme parks and high-density public venues face growing scrutiny over crowds and facility safety, prompting major operators to move beyond routine compliance and build real-time tactical readiness among frontline staff. The competition centered on two core scenarios: rapid initial suppression using indoor hydrants and emergency first aid. In the firefighting challenge, employees simulated an active blaze by quickly connecting hydrant systems, deploying hoses and executing the critical steps needed to contain flames before first responders arrive. The medical segment tested teams on sudden cardiac arrest scenarios. Participants were evaluated on their precision and speed while performing CPR on training mannequins and deploying automated external defibrillators
A year ago, some of the most nervous entrepreneurs in the world were in Hong Kong, Taipei and Shanghai. I knew within the first two minutes of glancing through the deck. A strategy workshop for our senior stakeholders had just wrapped. The session itself was good: the partner facilitating it followed our brief, the debate was sharp, and an AI tool captured the notes. Grab wanted Taiwan to be its first market outside Southeast Asia. Taiwan’s competition regulator has told it, in effect, that it is not really an outsider. Taiwan’s Fair Trade Commission (TFTC) on Wednesday blocked Germany-based Delivery Hero’s planned sale of foodpanda’s Taiwan business to Grab, scuttling a US$600 million all-cash deal agreed on March 23. For years, the small business owner in Penang or Cebu has relied on a quiet, unspoken form of security: obscurity. Who would bother hacking a family-run online furniture store when there are banks to rob? The logic was not wrong.
