Fort Worth, United States, September 23, 2026 /PressCable/ -- Clearfork Academy has expanded its rehab programs for teens struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. Teen drug use remains a concern for many parents across the nation. In a 2023 report by the National Center for Drug Abuse Statistics, 1.86 million teens aged 12 to 17 reported using illicit substances within the preceding month. 1.78 million of these teens met the criteria for illicit drug use disorder (IDUD), while 757,000 met the criteria for alcohol use disorder (AUD).

While any substance use can increase a teen’s risk of chronic physical and mental health issues later in life, experts like Clearfork Academy say that adolescents who become addicted to drugs and alcohol are often coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, or emotional dysregulation. Consequently, teens require specialized treatments that are designed to address their unique needs and challenges to improve their chances of recovery.

“Teen substance use is rarely only about the substance. For some teens, drugs are a way to manage anxiety and sadness, fit in, or escape conflict,” explains a spokesperson for Clearfork Academy. “Teens are not smaller adults - adolescent substance abuse has to account for development. Their treatment must include family involvement, emotional regulation, peer influence, school stress, and accountability at home.”

Clearfork Academy’s outpatient treatment programs are designed to target addiction and co-occurring disorders in teens, but they can also treat mental health issues and behavioral challenges separately. The organization’s PHPs are the more intensive of the two options; patients meet five days per week for four hours each session. Conversely, patients enrolled in IOPs will attend therapy three days a week; these are more suitable for those who are stable but still require regular support.

While each program is tailored to the patient, all focus on helping the teen with triggers, cravings, decision-making, and relapse prevention through a combination of evidence-based therapies, including CBT and DBT, and holistic practices such as recreational therapies and faith-based practices. By offering integrative treatments, Clearfork Academy aims to promote skill development and foster long-term recovery beyond simply treating the symptoms of addiction.

'AI artists' perform improvised jazz at Jarasum Jazz Festival

Artificial intelligence (AI) models developed by a research team led by Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) professor Nam Ju-han made their debut at one of Korea’s leading jazz festivals, performing improvised jazz alongside human artists. According to the university Friday, the team showcased human-AI music collaboration technology that analyzes the flow of human performances in real time, allowing AI to take over performances or generate improvised accompaniment, during the 23rd Jarasum Jazz Festival, held in Gapyeong County, Gyeonggi Province, from Oct. 9 to 11. A total of 12 human jazz artists participated in the event, collaborating with AI in 26 pieces across 12 performances. The technology is different from existing music AI services as it enables collaboration with human musicians in jazz, a genre characterized by improvisation. Jazz musicians often change the tempo or create new melodies based on how they feel in the moment. Because the same piece can be performed differently each time, musicians must listen to one another and adjust their playing accord

Why Indonesian fintech’s ASEAN expansion cost more than anyone priced in

Indonesian fintech expansion into ASEAN looks different in 2026 than it did when Investree opened its Thailand operations in 2018 and its Philippines unit shortly after. The cohort of Indonesian platforms that pushed beyond the domestic market between 2018 and 2022 (Investree, Modalku, several payment players, a handful of insurtechs) encountered a structural cost that […] The post Why Indonesian fintech’s ASEAN expansion cost more than anyone priced in appeared first on e27.

[INTERVIEW] Alaska Airlines eyes Asia expansion as Korea route gains traction

SEATTLE — Alaska Airlines is looking to expand its presence in Asia as its Incheon-Seattle route gains traction, with Korea emerging as a key market in the U.S. carrier’s expanding international network. The airline recorded load factors of 82 percent in June, 84 percent in July and 79 percent in August on the route, marking a strong start in its first full year of operations. The figures exceeded expectations for a new route, which typically takes about three years to mature as the airline adjusts schedules and connections to meet passenger demand. "Those are really good, strong load factors for the first year of a new route," Shane Tackett, president and chief financial officer of Alaska Airlines, said in an interview with The Korea Times on Sept. 29. He added that one month ranked among Alaska's best-performing international routes financially before fuel prices increased significantly. The airline sees further opportunities to attract passengers from Korea, where its brand remains relatively unfamiliar. Tackett said Alaska Airlines aims to raise awareness of its services and enco
