New York, NY, United States - November 14, 2023 /MarketersMEDIA/ —

Recently, entrepreneur Boris Mizhen created The Jacob Fund - a new nonprofit focused on offering food and housing to underprivileged people. The fund is a part of Chabad of the Shoreline: A Jewish organization that promotes education and support for people through study, prayer, and good deeds.

Headed by Rabbi Yossi Yaffe in Guilford, Connecticut, Chabad of the Shoreline was founded to create ties and bonds among people within the New Haven community. The group achieves its goals by helping Jewish people connect to their heritage through innovative programs and communal events, which run throughout the year. The Jacob Fund conforms to the same goals of the organization by assisting those in need of spiritual or material assistance, specifically for food and shelter. Rabbi Yaffe has publicly praised Mr. Mizhen’s role within the Chabad on multiple occasions for his consistent aid in caring for people who work hard to build a better life for those with currently unstable financial means.

Remaining loyal to the mission maintained by Rabbi Yaffe, Boris Mizhen has pledged to donate every month to the Chabad and has been doing so for the last three years. “Boris Mizhen is the most generous person I know”, says Rabbi Yaffe. Every August, the Chabad hosts an annual Shoreline Jewish Festival, where they invite members of the community for a weekend of events, concerts, and competitions. With more support from Mizhen’s Jacob Fund, the festival aims to promote independent craftsmanship and skills by displaying various local vendors and artists. The event is also known to play a pivotal role in the promotion of native talent within the community.

Boris Mizhen is a New York City-based real estate developer and entrepreneur, whose career launched when he developed a number of online advertising and marketing websites. Born with a strong business instinct, Mizhen learnt at a young age how to use every opportunity to his advantage. In addition to his online companies, Mr. Mizhen also manages numerous real estate properties across the North-East of the United States providing stable housing to families in different regions. He enjoys spending his extra time and energy by contributing to charities and organizations that offer help to those who need it most. AI-driven cyberattacks hit 16 financial firms, expose 100,000 records

The number of financial firms affected by suspected artificial intelligence (AI) agent-driven cyberattacks has risen to 16, more than double the seven initially reported, financial regulators said Wednesday. About 100,000 records containing personal information, including resident registration numbers, were exposed. The tally could rise as companies continue checking their systems for signs of intrusion. Regulators also found security deficiencies at 130 of the 555 financial firms reviewed, including failures to apply the latest security patches. The Financial Services Commission (FSC) disclosed the findings at an emergency response meeting. It said the breaches, reported since the beginning of this month, have affected banks, savings banks, credit finance companies, electronic payment providers and cryptocurrency businesses. The affected firms include four banks — Shinhan, KB Kookmin, BNK Busan and Hana — and four savings banks — Yegaram, Welcome, DB and OK. Hyundai Capital and KDB Capital are among the affected credit finance companies. Others on the list include online investment

Parallel Loop nets US$6.6M to sell enterprises the one thing AI models lack: context

In early 2018, Yujun Chean and Prateek Jogani were selling car insurance with a cashback twist. Their Singapore startup, Vouch Insurtech, had just raised SGD1 million (then US$755,000) in seed funding as the parent of Thai insurtech FairDee. Eight years on, the pair are back with a much bigger cheque and a far more crowded […] The post Parallel Loop nets US$6.6M to sell enterprises the one thing AI models lack: context appeared first on e27.

Singapore wants Google’s AI to catch scammers before victims hit send

Singapore’s war on scams has mostly been fought far from the victim: in police operations centres, bank back offices and, more recently, in rulebooks telling platforms what they must block. Now the city-state wants part of that fight to happen inside the phone itself. Google on Wednesday announced two initiatives with the Singapore Government, unveiled […] The post Singapore wants Google’s AI to catch scammers before victims hit send appeared first on e27.

Read the sectors, not the headline: What Singapore’s growth upgrade tells SEA founders

When the Ministry of Trade and Industry raised Singapore’s 2026 growth forecast in August, most of the founders I talk to read it the way the headlines invited them to, as good news for everyone. The revision was large. MTI moved its forecast from 2.0 to 4.0 per cent up to 4.5 to 5.5 per […] The post Read the sectors, not the headline: What Singapore’s growth upgrade tells SEA founders appeared first on e27.

85 per cent of Singapore employers expect staff to be always on. Half offer no help

The US$84,245 resistance is hours away from being tested. Will buyers show up or fold?

Bitcoin rose 0.89 per cent to US$83,264.98 over the past 24 hours, a gain that looks modest when set beside the 1.12 per cent increase in the total crypto market cap. This relationship matters. The largest digital asset did not climb because of a regulatory breakthrough or a huge institutional purchase. It climbed because capital […] The post The US$84,245 resistance is hours away from being tested. Will buyers show up or fold? appeared first on e27.
