Technologies and innovations take centre stage
The fair will offer participants a preview of next-generation automotive technologies and innovations shaping the sector. Reflecting this, nearly half of exhibitors at Automechanika Shanghai will present new energy-related products and services. The New Energy & Connectivity sector is set to expand by 20 percent to accommodate displays of electric powertrains, autonomous driving, charging and battery swapping infrastructures, intelligent chassis, and thermal management systems. Hybrid, fuel cell, and hydrogen solutions to elevate vehicle performance, safety, and user experiences will also be on display.
Moreover, upgrades across parts and components, electrical and electronic systems, accessories and customising, diagnostics and repair, body and paint, as well as tyres and wheels will be prominently showcased. Advanced components, smart tyres, lightweight wheels, advanced maintenance and inspection for new energy vehicles, infotainment electronics, and high-performance upgrades reflect significant advancements in automotive technology for both passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
Parts & Components exhibitors include Bosch with chassis system solutions for next generation vehicles; Feilong offers thermal management solutions for new energy vehicles; Knorr-Bremse with an intelligent electro-hydraulic steering system; and ZF with an integrated ecosystem of products and services for new energy vehicles, featuring advanced e-axle technologies and digitalised diagnostic, maintenance, and aftermarket solutions. In the commercial vehicle segment, Henglong Group is developing advanced steering technologies supporting Level 2 and higher autonomous driving, while WLY produces transmission systems and gear shafts for electric and hybrid commercial vehicles.
For repair and maintenance workshops, Autel will bring to the market a brand-new six-in-one high-voltage system diagnostic platform for new energy vehicles, and Launch showcases a new AI Agent to support diagnostics functions — reflecting how the aftermarket is modernising alongside the vehicles it serves.

Special showcases spotlight global integration and technological advancement
Zooming in on key trends, the show will present dedicated areas and zones spotlighting next-generation technologies and the alignment of global industry standards. Innovation4Mobility in Hall 5.1, for trend discovery and innovation spotlights from exhibitors, will feature showcases and seminars on 800V charging technology, robotaxis, eVTOL, and embodied AI. The Air-Space Ground Intelligent Nexus explores applications crossing vehicles, machines, and networks across wider geographic areas. The Automotive Semiconductor Ecosystem Zone supporting next-generation mobility with airborne semiconductors for the low-altitude economy and intelligent embedded vehicle hardware. The Global Quality Alliance Hub focuses on quality management, technical standards and compliance, gathering certifiers, regulators, trainers and standards bodies, so attendees gain insights on international compliance, quality control, standards and carbon management.

An ecosystem for global expansion
Beyond the fairground, the show also reflects how companies now expand internationally — alongside trusted partners rather than in isolation. Aion relies on localised bases in Thailand and Indonesia for vehicle manufacturing, parts production and charging infrastructure; Li Auto is investing in a local assembly line in Kazakhstan; and the joint venture DDAC-DONGFENG DANA AXLE exports drivetrain systems across South America, the Middle East and Europe. For overseas buyers and industry professionals, Automechanika Shanghai functions as a strategic hub: a place to source across the full value chain, connect with international partners and align with global standards — all under one roof.

A conference programme addressing what the industry needs today
Built directly around the real-world needs of the global automotive industry, the programme’s 100 concurrent events and conferences, its largest and most diverse line-up to date, will unite regulators, OEMs, tech leaders, and suppliers to tackle the most pressing market needs, exploring how decarbonisation, electrification and intelligent technologies are reshaping both passenger and commercial vehicles.
Flagship events include the International Automotive Industry Conference 2026 Presented by Automechanika Shanghai – CEO Summit (1 December), an exclusive forum for global C-suite automotive leaders to discuss cross-border collaboration and resilient strategies for the smart mobility era; the Intelligent Connected Vehicle Innovation and Development Conference 2026 Presented by Automechanika Shanghai (2 December), where government authorities, academics, OEMs and AI experts advance intelligent connected vehicles from pilot testing to large-scale commercial deployment; the Electric Logistics & Commercial Vehicles International Forum 2026 (2 December), exploring integrated solutions for new energy commercial vehicles; and the AIAG Asia Quality Summit 2026 (3 December), focused on guiding automotive suppliers through international expansion, IATF 16949 updates, quality management tools and overseas compliance strategies under the theme “Go Global, Grow Local.”
Strengthening supply chains is equally central. The Automotive Supply-Demand Matching Series fosters strategic partnerships among OEMs, parts suppliers, and automotive technology companies; the OEM Overseas Expansion Ecosystem Partnership Matchmaking Conference (2 December) bridges Chinese carmakers with global partners, supply chain players and service providers; and the Overseas OEM Procurement and NEV Supply Chain Matchmaking Conference (3 December) facilitates targeted face-to-face matchmaking between global carmakers and well-recognised Chinese suppliers. The Global Collective (3 to 4 December) opens doors in emerging markets by presenting investment and international cooperation opportunities. In fact, the fair offers opportunities to connect year-round in China, maintaining consistent momentum across the entire supply chain.

Driving sustainability across the industry and the fairground
Sustainability remains a central pillar of the fairground. In response to the projected retirement of 14 million EV batteries by 2040, the Remanufacturing Zone has expanded its coverage of NEV components such as power batteries, electric motors and thermal management units, alongside recycling solutions for fuel engine vehicle parts — with inspections and certifications that build trust in circular-economy processes. Training sessions at the Green Repair Area (Hall 6.2) will equip professionals to maintain high-voltage battery systems, troubleshoot ADAS calibrations and service new energy heavy-duty truck chassis.

Customising, car culture and lifestyle
Enthusiasts and professionals alike can engage with activities themed around motorsports, automotive lifestyle, and advanced high-performance customisation. At the Customising x Tech Area (Hall 8.2), highlights such as the Quest for a Racing Master 3.0 simulator challenge, the new Outdoor zone with replica professional pit shop, and merchandise shop give visitors an immersive, hands-on experience of car culture. The area also complemented by keynotes on motorsports, NEV customisation, performance upgrades and emerging car cultures.
