El Segundo, United States - November 1, 2021 /PressCable/ —

President and CEO of Stamps.com, Mohan Ananda, launched his memoir on October 20th. His book, Autobiography of an Immigrant, became an international bestseller on its launch week.

Ananda was inspired to write his autobiography based on the plight of many faceless migrants moving and finding better lives.

“In many ways, my life story is comparable to the life stories of millions of people who have come to this great country, the United States of America, with unlimited hopes and aspirations… I had to face, the bravery and confidence to confront difficult circumstances and disappointments head-on, the unbelievable resolve to move forward with a positive attitude, and the joy experienced at every point of the achievement and accomplishment, no matter the size.”, he shares.

Fifty years ago, Mohan decided to immigrate to the United States from India and his book is a celebration of his good fortune.

In his book, Ananda discussed issues that remain taboo including fear of the unknown, cultural gap, and homesickness that are all too familiar when traveling to unchartered territory. Despite this, Ananda encourages younger generations to migrate not only to the US but to other corners of the world. He aspires to make their dreams a reality by presenting himself as an example.

“I capitalized on being alone to focus and concentrate so that I could achieve great things. I also used the occasion to make new contacts within my new home country so that I was able to have friends and family I could rely on during difficult times.”, he recounts.

Mohan Ananda was the founding Chairman, CEO, and President of Stamps.com (Nasdaq: STMP) and he currently sits on its Board of Directors. Stamps.com is the leading provider of Internet-based mailing and shipping solutions and was the first-ever USPS-licensed vendor to offer PC Postage® in a software-only business model.

Mohan Ananda graduated with Honors in Mechanical Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology in Coimbatore, India, and later on received his MS degree in Aeronautics from California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California.

Chinese cars were becoming a common sight on the streets here, as brands from BYD to Changan made aggressive inroads in a market once dominated by South Korea’s Hyundai and Kia, said the driver who picked me up from the airport in a gleaming Changan electric vehicle. But it was not the rise of Chinese tech that had brought me to this energy-rich...

[WEEKENDER] Unknown at home, big abroad

It is generally considered less risky for companies to first establish a robust consumer base in the country where they are based, giving them a comfort zone for operations like marketing, administration and customer service. Expanding into overseas markets would be a logical next step. Major Korean firms almost always follow this approach, building operational know-how and a strong domestic following before venturing into uncharted territories. Global expansion has become increasingly encouraging for Korean beauty and food firms thanks to their growing presence on the global stage. According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, Korean beauty exports hit a record $11.4 billion in 2025, up 24.5 percent from 2021. Korean food exports also reached a record in 2025 at $10.4 billion, up 21.9 percent over the same period, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. The booming global trade in these industries has encouraged some small and medium-sized Korean companies to aim high from the outset, targeting international consumers rather than the domestic market. These

In particular, they discussed how AI will reshape a company's decision-making and operations, and the capabilities required of business leaders amid a rapidly changing corporate environment, according to Samsung. Altman highlighted that gaining a competitive edge does not hinge on simply adopting the AI technology, but on how to leverage it to move faster, make better products and get ahead of competitors. Around 50 Samsung executives from its tech, finance and bio units, including its crown jewel Samsun

Korean envoy to US vows support for bilateral investment at Hyundai's Alabama plant
