Atlanta, Georgia Aug 15, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - ARTIST KAY SOUL (ASCAP) INVITES YOU TO MAKE SOME "CONNECTIONS"

ONE NATION UNDER GOD RECORDS ANNOUNCES A NEW EP DROP ON AUGUST 19, 2022

One Nation Under God Records is proud to announce the release of Neo-Soul artist Kay Soul's new EP, Connections. The five-track concept EP was written by Kay Soul, and produced by Erik "Mrdoublebeats" Ficklin and Anthony Smith. Connections were recorded, mixed, and mastered at Miller Street Studios in Chicago. The expected drop date is Friday, August 19th.

Connections is a fusion of genres including gospel, R&B, pop, Hip Hop, jazz, and Soul.  Its harmonies are layered over bass-heavy synth beats with deep lyrical content and good vibrations. Describing the lead song, "Strong Connection", Kay said, "It's about the type of love that I felt I always wanted but never had. It maps out a new way of loving by being patient, dedicated, and kind, and it's about something more than just romantic love. There's a universal theme of building strong connections in our lives with ourselves and others." The EP is completed by the tracks "Bad Connection", "Disconnection", "Reconnection", and "Lost Connection".

Kay Soul's previous album, In My Mind, released in 2020, was met with critical acclaim, and lauded as a "massive opus" by The Sounds Won't Stop (Nov. 2020).  Regarding the track "Silly Love", A&R Factory raved, "While plenty of people had fun discussing whether "WAP" was a feminist track, artists such as Kay Soul were cooking up the most empowering track that I've heard this year" (Nov. 2020). During a 2021 podcast, SOS Music Media said, "Kay is a ray of sunshine showing people that there is still beauty to be found, even when we're feeling down."

Kay Soul recently performed a solo show at Kat's Cafe, a premier artist venue in Atlanta. Upcoming performances include:

8/19/22Kay Soul Connections EP & Listening Party; Ambitions Entertainment (Chicago, IL)

9/23/22Vegas Showcase, CHH Cypher (Las Vegas, NV)
