Visibility 360 has launched a new Products & Brands AI Audit designed to help online retailers find out how leading AI platforms, including ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity, represent and recommend their products.

Beach Park, United States, October 3, 2026 /PressCable/ -- Visibility 360 has announced its Products & Brands AI Audit for e-commerce businesses seeking to understand how AI shopping assistants represent and recommend their products. Part of the agency's seven-audit AI Reveal Suite, the assessment examines brand recognition and product recommendation visibility across seven AI systems, including ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini.

The audit addresses a growing shift in how consumers discover and evaluate products before purchasing. NielsenIQ's September 2026 research found that 51% of surveyed US consumers had used AI-powered tools for shopping during the preceding month, with 20% relying on AI for product recommendations specifically. For online retailers, these changing habits introduce an additional visibility challenge: understanding whether their products appear when AI assistants help shoppers identify and compare available options.
Conventional search rankings provide only part of this picture, according to Visibility 360. A retailer may have an established website and an active marketing presence without knowing how accurately AI systems understand its products or whether the brand appears in relevant recommendations.
Its Products & Brands AI Audit examines this distinction, assessing how participating AI platforms recognize a retailer's brand, interpret its online presence, and respond to relevant product recommendation queries. The findings provide a starting point for identifying potential weaknesses in the information and external credibility available about the business.
"Retailers need to understand what AI systems know about their brands before deciding where to invest in greater visibility," said Barbara Drady, founder of Visibility 360.
Where the audit identifies weaknesses, the agency offers its Authority Architecture program to strengthen the brand's wider digital presence. This approach incorporates answer engine optimization (AEO) strategies and targeted content distribution intended to make credible information about the business more accessible across search and AI-powered discovery channels.
The campaigns include publishing relevant content on over 300 platforms, which Visibility 360 says expands the brand's digital footprint and increases its chances of being cited in AI answers.
The agency works with a limited number of clients and restricts its services to one brand per market, ensuring that competing businesses in the same area do not receive its authority-building services at the same time.
Founded by Drady, Visibility 360 draws on her experience in media relations to help businesses develop their external visibility and credibility. The Products & Brands AI Audit forms part of a wider assessment offering covering seven professional and commercial categories.

Most AI writing about work still treats the technology like an advanced tool. That framing made sense when AI mainly waited for a prompt, returned an answer, and stopped there. But that is no longer the whole picture. Nearly one in five marketing leaders has already eliminated roles because automation now handles the work. That is the finding behind a new Gartner prediction, which Marketing Week reported this week: by 2030, most high-performing marketing teams will be able to drop the traditional bottom rungs of the corporate ladder. The artificial intelligence investment story is beginning to move beyond the most obvious winners. For much of the past three years, the market’s attention has centred on graphics processing units (GPUs), high-bandwidth memory and the companies supplying the raw compute needed to train large AI models.
