Odyssey Math Tuition strengthens its passion-driven math tuition Singapore model by rolling out in-house math tutor training, enhancing the proprietary Odyssey Math Tuition Math Curriculum and 24/7 e-learning system to inspire genuine love for mathematics among Secondary and JC students.
Singapore, February 10, 2026 -- Odyssey Math Tuition today reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to redefining mathematics education in Math Tuition Singapore industry by prioritising genuine enjoyment and deep understanding over rote memorisation. The centre has now rolled out a comprehensive in-house training programme for its math tutors, alongside ongoing enhancements to its proprietary curriculum and 24/7 e-learning platform, to ensure every student receives the highest quality, passion-focused instruction.
Since its founding in 2013 by Principal Math Tutor Mr. Justin Tan during his time at the National University of Singapore, Odyssey Math Tuition has built its reputation on the conviction that students who fall in love with mathematics achieve stronger conceptual mastery, greater resilience, reduced anxiety, and superior long-term results in national examinations. This student-centred philosophy continues to distinguish Odyssey Math Tuition from many conventional centres that rely predominantly on repetitive drills, timed practices, or high-pressure exam techniques.
The newly implemented in-house tutor training programme is designed to uphold and elevate the centre’s distinctive “School of Math Sorcery” approach. All tutors undergo structured, ongoing professional development that covers three core pillars:
“True excellence in mathematics begins with enjoyment and understanding, not repetition alone,” said Mr. Justin Tan, Principal Math Tutor and Founder of Odyssey Math Tuition. “Our in-house training ensures every math tutor is equipped to deliver math tuition lessons that ignite passion, build confidence, and develop genuine mastery. When students find joy in discovering patterns, solving puzzles, and seeing mathematics come alive, they naturally invest more effort, retain concepts longer, perform better under exam pressure, and carry a positive attitude toward the subject into higher education and beyond.”
The proprietary OMT Math Curriculum, crafted by Mr. Tan and continuously refined, remains fully aligned with the Ministry of Education (MOE) syllabus while embedding elements that promote enjoyment and conceptual depth. From Secondary-level Elementary Mathematics and Additional Mathematics to Junior College H1 and H2 Mathematics, the curriculum guides students toward independent thinking and flexible application of ideas.
Supporting this philosophy is the enhanced hybrid 24/7 OMT Math Tuition and E-Learning System, available exclusively to Secondary 1 to JC 2 students. The platform offers unlimited math tuition lessons access to introductory concept videos, topical quizzes with instant feedback, extensive question banks, detailed worksheets with step-by-step solutions, mock papers, exam strategy guides, recorded revision lessons, and personalised study planners. Recent updates have improved navigation and adaptive features, allowing learners to revisit challenging topics at their own pace and reinforce classroom learning flexibly around school commitments.
Odyssey Math Tuition provides complete coverage across educational stages: primary school math tuition focused on PSLE success, secondary school math tuition preparing for O-Levels, and junior college math tuition targeting A-Level excellence. While the e-learning system serves Secondary 1 to JC 2 levels, in-person programmes maintain the same emphasis on enjoyment and understanding for all students.
Feedback from students and parents reflects the effectiveness of this integrated approach: many report not only grade improvements but also a noticeable shift in mindset—from viewing math as stressful to seeing it as engaging and rewarding. Parents value the consistent, high-quality instruction delivered by well-trained tutors who make lessons both effective and enjoyable.
With the launch of its in-house tutor training programme, Odyssey Math Tuition strengthens its position as a leader in nurturing, passion-driven math education. Recent developments—including the September 2025 opening of a larger physical centre, continued team expansion, and planned AI enhancements to the e-learning platform in 2026—demonstrate the centre’s dedication to scaling its model while preserving exceptional standards.
By investing in tutor development, curriculum excellence, and digital innovation, Odyssey Math Tuition continues to empower Singapore students to excel academically and embrace mathematics as a source of joy, confidence, and lifelong strength.
About Odyssey Math Tuition

Odyssey Math Tuition is a leading math tuition centre in Singapore, founded in 2013 by Principal Math Tutor Mr. Justin Tan while he was an undergraduate at the National University of Singapore. Over the past decade, Odyssey Math Tuition has grown into a trusted name in education by helping students across primary, secondary, and junior college levels not only improve their grades but also develop a genuine love and confidence in mathematics.
The centre’s guiding philosophy is simple yet powerful: students who fall in love with mathematics are far more likely to achieve deep understanding, sustained success, and long-term excellence. Unlike many traditional tuition centres that emphasise rote memorisation, speed drills, or intense exam pressure, Odyssey Math Tuition adopts a nurturing, student-centred approach called the “School of Math Sorcery.” This method transforms math into an engaging and enjoyable experience, sparking curiosity, building resilience, encouraging independent thinking, and creating a supportive environment where students feel safe to ask questions and celebrate progress.
Classes at Odyssey Math Tuition are deliberately kept small to allow tutors to provide personalised attention, patiently address individual misconceptions, present multiple ways to solve problems, connect concepts to real-life examples, and use interactive elements to make lessons lively and memorable. By prioritising enjoyment and conceptual clarity over mechanical repetition, the centre helps students shift from viewing mathematics as stressful to seeing it as exciting and empowering.
Odyssey Math Tuition offers tailored programmes at every key stage of Singapore’s education system:
- Primary school math tuition (Primary 1 to Primary 6) focuses on building strong foundations for the PSLE. Lessons emphasise number sense, heuristics, model drawing, and problem-solving skills in a fun, encouraging way. Young learners gain confidence early, developing a positive attitude toward math that supports them through future challenges.
- Secondary school math tuition covers Secondary 1 math tuition to Secondary 4 (including IP streams), encompassing both Elementary Mathematics (E-Math) and Additional Mathematics (A-Math). The programme prepares students thoroughly for the O-Level examinations by breaking down complex topics, reinforcing understanding through targeted practice, and promoting flexible, independent application of concepts.
- Junior college math tuition supports JC1 and JC2 students in H1 and H2 Mathematics. The instruction is rigorous yet approachable, guiding learners through advanced topics such as calculus, vectors, statistics, and probability while fostering critical thinking and exam-ready skills.
Complementing in-person classes is the proprietary 24/7 OMT Math Tuition E-Learning System (available for Secondary 1 to JC 2), which provides unlimited access to concept videos, topical quizzes, worksheets with solutions, mock papers, exam tips, and personalised study tools. This hybrid model extends learning flexibility while reinforcing the centre’s passion-driven philosophy.
Through its consistent focus on enjoyment, understanding, and individual growth, Odyssey Math Tuition empowers students to excel in national examinations and embrace mathematics as a source of joy and strength for life.
About the company: Odyssey Math Tuition’s proprietary OMT Math Curriculum, carefully crafted and continuously refined by Mr. Justin Tan, seamlessly integrates MOE requirements with elements that make mathematics feel magical, meaningful, and accessible. Recent milestones, including the opening of a larger physical centre and ongoing team expansion, reflect the centre’s commitment to scaling high-quality, enjoyment-focused math education across Singapore. Through its holistic, passion-first model, Odyssey Math Tuition empowers students to succeed in national examinations while cultivating confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong strength in mathematics. The signing of an AI accord by President Trump and tech leaders has done little to quell concerns over the lack of guardrails surrounding artificial intelligence. While Trump says industry officials can self-police, critics say more is needed to make sure AI development doesn’t get out of hand, even as some described it as a...
China has set a five-year goal for the expansion of intelligent computing capacity to drive artificial intelligence (AI) that calls for a more than fourfold increase on what was in place at the end of June this year. To reach the 2030 target while being blocked by the United States from importing the most advanced Western-made AI chips will require innovation, adaptation and the application and coordination of vast resources. Judging by the 177 per cent increase in capacity achieved in the year...
Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Corp. posted record U.S. sales for September, driven by strong demand for sport utility vehicles (SUVs) and hybrid models, the Hyundai Motor Group affiliates said Friday. Hyundai Motor America sold 77,439 vehicles last month, up 9 percent from a year earlier, marking its highest-ever September sales. Sales of the Palisade SUV surged 52 percent on-year, while the Sonata, Tucson and Santa Fe also posted double-digit growth. Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) accounted for 28 percent of Hyundai's total U.S. sales during the month. Kia America also reported its best-ever September sales, with deliveries jumping 18 percent on-year to 77,009 units. The Seltos, Niro, K4, Telluride, Sorento, Carnival, K5 and Sportage were among the models that contributed to the strong monthly performance.
HD Hyundai Heavy Industries has signed a contract to build an offshore substation for a wind farm in waters off Taean, South Chungcheong Province, as it expands its presence in the offshore wind market. The company announced on Friday that it recently signed a contract with Taean Wind Power to carry out the engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning of an offshore substation for the wind farm. Taean Wind Power is a joint venture between Singapore-based renewable energy company Vena Energy, Danish investment and development firm Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and state-run Korea Western Power. An offshore substation is a key facility that transmits electricity generated by turbines at an offshore wind farm to shore. The offshore substation to be built in Taean will step up the voltage of electricity generated by a 500-megawatt wind farm before transmitting the power to shore. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries secured the project through a series of agreements, signing a front-end engineering design contract in March, followed by a preferred supplier agreement
Genetically modified organism (GMO) components were detected in 99.3 percent of U.S. soybean import cases tested over the past decade, trade data showed Friday, raising calls for Korea to diversify its soybean import sources. According to Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corp. data submitted to Rep. Song Ok-joo of the Democratic Party of Korea, Korea imported 1.6 million tons of U.S. soybeans between 2017 and September 2026, accounting for 91.5 percent of its total soybean imports during the period. GMO components were detected in 399 of 402 U.S. soybean import cases, or 99.3 percent. Canadian soybeans were imported in 45 shipments totaling 29,469 tons, with GMO components detected in 57.8 percent of the cases. In contrast, no GMO components were detected in soybeans imported from China or Russia. Chinese soybeans totaled 112,124 tons in 18 shipments, accounting for 6.4 percent of total imports, while Russian soybeans totaled 7,870 tons across five shipments. The data came amid recent controversies over GMO detection in soybean-based foods such as tofu, soy milk and fermented soybean pa
Dunamu, the operator of Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, said Friday that it expanded its artificial intelligence (AI)-powered market analytics platform with real-time tools that summarize broad market trends and pinpoint the reasons behind price movements for individual digital assets. Upbit Data Lab, launched in April 2025, is the exchange's analytics platform offering crypto indexes, sector data and blockchain analysis. The new "AI Market Report" is a video of 90 seconds or less that draws on the Upbit composite index, major asset prices, top gainers and losers, and market sentiment indicators, with AI selecting key issues based on price moves and market impact. It is released at 10 a.m. on weekdays on Upbit Data Lab and Upbit's official YouTube channel. A second new service, "Uptrace," tracks price data and related news for individual assets to identify the main factors behind price changes. Users can click diamond-shaped icons on an asset's chart to see the AI analysis and related news for that point in time. Dunamu also reorganized its existing "AI News Briefing" in
