KW Cares and Liberty Continue To Promise to Give Back To Charity

KW Cares and Liberty continue to give back to charities. These charities help those who are affected by natural disasters such as wildfires and droughts.

St. Louis, United States - July 30, 2018 /PressCable/ —

St. Louis, Missouri (July 30, 2018)- A local St. Louis charity called KW Cares offers disaster and emergency funding to the families of its associates. KW Cares is a non-profit that is the result of Keller Williams, a St. Louis based real estate company that has set aside time to give back. This public charity is now supported by associates from all across North America, including Liberty Consultants. The company attained 503 status, which allows them to accept donations on behalf of those in need. This includes men, women, and children across the country who have been affected from disasters such as wildfires and droughts.

KW Cares ends up giving a percentage of their donations to three different causes : 1) Homes For Our Troops, who donates homes to veterans who served in the military after 9-11; 2) Ryan’s Well, a charity that helps deprived countries secure clean water; and 3) the MD Anderson Cancer Center, which supports a multitude of programs working together to find a cure. The outgoing tithes complete a four-pronged approach to giving which KW Cares supports with tax-deductible, tax-exempt donations. Their status in line with the government as a 503 charity lends an air of trustworthiness, as the IRS does not grant such a leniency unless the operation is making a substantial difference.

KW Cares took in an abundant amount of donations last year that it became a struggle to keep up while running their own business. This is a good problem to have in which they ended up bringing another company into the fold. KW Cares teamed up with Liberty Consultants who is another St. Louis based real estate company who also seeks to give back. The two companies combined resources will help expand their access to potential donors where each cause should benefit from the exposure. Oct 18, 2019

SAN ANTONIO — A Native American group is calling on officials to slow down the renovation of the Alamo church in San Antonio, after archaeological reports showed human remains were found at the property. The San Antonio Express-News reports the group wants a say in what happens to unearthed human remains because many group members are descendants of people who lived near the site. NASA moves up 1st all-female spacewalk to fix power unit

Oct 18, 2019

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — NASA has moved up the first all-female spacewalk to this week because of a power system failure at the International Space Station. Astronauts Christina Koch (cook) and Jessica Meir (mere) will now venture out Thursday or Friday, instead of next Monday. A battery power controller failed over the weekend, prompting the change. The women will replace the broken component, rather than install new batteries, which was their original job. Last week, astronauts conducted two spacewalks to replace old space station batteries. They have three more spacewalks to go to finish the battery work. A battery-swapping spacewalk...

Anatomy of the phone call now imperiling Trump's presidency

Oct 18, 2019

WASHINGTON — There were dozens of ears listening to President Donald Trump's 30-minute phone call with the leader of Ukraine that is at the center of a House impeachment inquiry , and as many eyes that saw what he said. White House staffers, working in the secure, soundproof Situation Room in the West Wing basement, listened in and chronicled the conversation . National Security Council personnel edited a memo written about the call. White House lawyers, according to a government whistleblower , directed that the memo be uploaded into a highly restricted classified computer network. And there were the staffers...

The Latest: Officials: Be kind to PG&E workers amid shut-off

Oct 18, 2019

SAN FRANCISCO — The Latest on power outages in California (all times local): 4:15 p.m. Authorities are asking the public to be kind to frontline utility workers in California as anger mounts against Pacific Gas and Electric over a power shutdown. PG&E is cutting power to customers in 34 counties as dry, gusty winds create dangerous wildfires conditions. The utility's faulty equipment was to blame for a deadly fire a year ago that killed 85 people and nearly wiped out the town of Paradise. Sacramento's KCRA-TV says the California Highway Patrol is investigating an incident Tuesday in Colusa County in...

China criticizes Apple for app that tracks Hong Kong police

Oct 18, 2019

HONG KONG — Apple became the latest company targeted for Chinese pressure over protests in Hong Kong after the ruling Communist Party's main newspaper criticized the tech giant Wednesday for a smartphone app that allows activists to report police movements. HKmap.live, designed by an outside supplier and available on Apple Inc.'s online store, "facilitates illegal behavior," the People's Daily said in a commentary. "Is Apple guiding Hong Kong thugs?" the newspaper said. Beijing has pressed companies including Hong Kong's Cathay Pacific Airways to take the government's side against the protests, which are in their fourth month. Apple didn't immediately respond...
